Summary; A girl goes on a walk with her new uncle.
Log;

There was really something about old men, Katara couldn't help thinking, as she grabbed a shawl and wrapped it around her shoulders, heading to the front of the apartment and leaning against the door frame. Every single one that she'd met had left a lasting impression and had parted only after passing on valuable wisdom, from Bumi's thinking outside the box to Jeong Jeong explaining the dangers of fire, and more importantly, of lacking control. Granted, Zuko's uncle Iroh was certainly the one Katara had most misgivings about in the beginning. A passive man, shrewd in countenance but slow to act in response to his nephew, seemingly unfazed by all of the destruction Zuko was liable to cause-- until in the Dai Li's underground caverns in Ba Sing Se.

To put it succinctly, he was truly a man that one couldn't judge by the cover, and books like that contained the most intriguing of stories.

It was almost rather strange to think of Iroh and Zuko as related. The latter more than wore his heart on his sleeve, predictable in his passions. But that didn't matter, either way; Katara was there to speak with Iroh, and Iroh alone. For what reason, she couldn't even guess, but Katara wasn't about to turn such an offer down.

Not while her father wasn't in the City, anyway.

Katara interested him for a variety of reasons. She was young-- one point to her favor, because young people could still learn not to follow the same paths as their parents --she was a waterbender, she was very close with the Avatar, clever, and most importantly, had had some very interesting experiences in her life with his nephew, Zuko. He was a kind old man in many ways, truthful enough, but he was also a former military general, considered the best strategist in his nation.

There was a lot of strategy in the relationships between people.

He arrived for their walk after a few minutes, still hoping and trying to drag his sandal on and offering her an apologetic look.

"My apologies! I still don't really know my way around this house very well. The buildings here are like those in Ba Sing Se, but so much more...well, large."
