Summary; After Risa disappears to get some space, her ex-boyfriend sees her network note and figures out where she's gone. Thinking she'll do something stupid, he tracks her down. Now that they finally talk properly, is there any hope left for the 'All Hanshin Kyojin' couple?

It was just as it began to get dark that the bright lights of the City amusement park lit up, setting the whole scene in a pretty and romantic glow. While many people were enjoying themselves, it was the couples that seemed most content in the soft and colourful lights.

At least...that was the way Risa saw it, but then again her thoughts were a little sidetracked on 'couple' issues of late.

Sighing, she turned her gaze skyward, trying to calm the torrent of thoughts in her mind. She had come here after all to cheer herself up. Still, it was ironic; she was miserable because of her break up. However, the place she came to in order to cheer herself up made her happy because it reminded her of the good times with the very guy who she was weeping over. Really, fate was cruel.

Well she was grateful, in a way. At least she had those memories. Her date here with Otani was probably one of the best days of her life. It had been wonderful, and she had smiled all the way through it, and she hoped her boyfriend had as well.

It seemed rather unfair how one trip home could cause so much mess, but really, she only had herself to blame. Nothing more could be done. Otani wouldn't listen, he was firm in the fact they were no longer together. He didn't even believe her when she exclaimed she still loved him.

'Idiot, if I didn't still feel that way, it wouldn't hurt this much.' she mused, before quickly dispelling the thought. Nothing could be done now, it was the end.

Still, it couldn't hurt to slip into the dream, the happy past...just for a little longer...

After seeing the message Koizumi put up on the network, he couldn't help but be worried even though he may have said he wanted nothing to do with her because of what she did. However, he knew it was her birthday today, somehow due how time seemed to weird here and he could pretty much guess where she went.

It was getting dark outside so he headed out to where she was, before she did something stupid or got in trouble.

Before he knew it, he was at the amusement park and he spotted her a few feet away from him.

Risa, unaware of the presence, contining scuffing her feet along the ground, leaning back against the bench she was sitting on, before straightening to look through her handbag.

Though she didn't take the item out, she rolled it between her fingers absentmindedly. She had come back to the City before getting the chance to give Otani the gift she made to help him in studying, and it was not left in her home world. So, still upset, she had gotten him something else, even though she knew he would never take it from her now, since he wouldn't even be willing to see her.

How could she have messed everything up so badly?!

"Stupid Risa, that's what you are! You're just a brainless idiot!" she muttered to herself, still not knowing someone was watching her.

"Yeah, you really are an idiot for going off like this" He spoke up, so that she would know he was there.

The voice made the tall girl jump, nearly causing her to fall off the bench. Turning her head and blinking rapidly, she could barely believe what she was seeing.

Why...was he here? Didn't he never want to talk to her again?

It took a moment for the shock to wear off, before Risa finally shook her head, addressing her ex-boyfriend, though her gaze was lock with the ground.

"W-What are you doing here?" she mumbled, biting her lip nervously, and trying to tell herself inwardly that she couldn't let herself break down in front of him again.

He expected she'd be surprised see him, but he just shook his head and sighed, "I just told you why"

"I just...wanted some space." she replied, still avoiding eye contact. "It's no big deal, I wasn't going to get myself in trouble."

It was supposed to be a snappy comeback, but it sounded more like a sad whimper. Really, what was she supposed to think. She suspected some people might try and find her. Chidori, Horo, Guy or Natalia, Miwako or even A.B.A, but not Otani! He didn't want to be aroudn ehr anymore, right?

"You don't have to be here, you're not obligated to babysit me anymore. So why..." she asked hesitantly, as if she was afraid of the answer.

Otani was worried but like he was going to admit that to her right then.

He just shrugged before he responded "That doesn't matter why I'm here--going off like this, you're probably troubling your friends and making them worry, you should go home already"

Immediately, her hope deflated. She was expecting too much. Of course he didn't care. It was no surprise after what she had done to mess up what they had. Still, he may have ahad a point. Maybe she was just being more a nuisanace to everyone.

Silently she stood up and moved to walk on, but something stirred inside her, making the girl turn and face Otani.

"I...won't bother you anymore." she mumured. "But...there's something I think I need to do first, before I can let go."

He could just refuse her, and she would understand. Still, it was just a small, final request.

He gave her a confused look as she spoke, from the fact he wasn't sure what that something was, but he just nodded in response, "Sure, if you want"

Sighing, Risa nervously reached into her bag, looking down at the item once more, before hastily grabbing Otani's hand and quickly putting the gift in it.

It was a pen, a blue plastic one with the boys name written on the side, with a little tassle hanging from the top with 'fight' written on one side, and 'good luck' on the other.

"For your exams, when you take them. It'll bring you good luck." she whispered, closing his hand around it, trying to hold back tears. before leaning down a little, hovering over the shorter boy. "And...so will this."

In a swift motion, she had tilted her head down entirely, lips pressed to his in a soft kiss.

He was taken by surprise as he looked at his hand to see the gift she'd placed in his hand.

"But this--" he was stopped midway, completely felt speechless as she leaned closer and kissed him.

Well, this was unusual. She was not used to being the one making the moves in their former relationship, but well, this was special circumstance. And she would regret not doing it if this was their goodbye.

Somehow, Risa was able to stop herself from crying as she moved her lips gently against his, before pulling away and straightening herself up again, a sad smile on her face.

"I guess, I just...want to thank you, for everything, even if our time was limited Otani." she said softly, eyes full of emotion. "I know you'll be great."

And with that, she breathed a sigh of relief, of the end, before turning to walk away.

"To thank me...?" This felt kind of weird, but not in a bad way. He was touched from what she said and that she went through all this trouble to get something for him.

Just as she was about to walk away, he reached over and grabbed her hand "Wait--"

Risa didn't want to look back, not now or ever. She knew it was only a matter of time before she started crying again, so it was best to go as qucikly as possible. But then...

Spinning around to see Otani holding her had, stopping her from leaving. Why...?

"O-Otani..."she said, her voice and expression showing complete confusion for what was going on. And yet she couldn't deny how nice it was, the touch. Feeling his strong hand holding hers again, she had really missed it.
