She'd finally left the Joker...and Stephanie couldn't be more proud.
Harley was good. She deserved so much better...And Steph was going to help her and her...'babies'.

The fountain is a nice meeting place, and Steph is just loitering around, prepared for anything. The Joker, even.

The sounds of two hyenas scampering up are the first things to be heard. They run up to Steph, giggling and bearing their teeth.

"SIT!"

At the call, both hyenas look at each other and sit, snickering quietly. Harley approaches with a big bag of belongings over her shoulder. She's out-of-costume, blonde hair done up in a couple long pigtails, wearing a fashionable red dress. She waves with her free hand and shouts to the girl.

"Hey, kiddo! Howzit goin'?!"

The hyenas are a bit surprising. Steph wouldn't be lying if she said she wasn't bugged by that. But they're cute enough.

"Oh, good, they're trained! Alfred'll have a fit when he sees these guys...Good thing I'm looking for a new place anyway..."
Steph smiles, glad to see Harley looking well. She was afraid she'd be in poorer condition, considering who she left.

"I'm fine, thanks! How're you?"

"I'll have you know I've got plenty of experience trainin' my babies, thank you very much! Lotsa people keep spotted hyenas as pets, y'know."

Harley was much better at acting than many people liked to give her credit for. She almost felt sick, but she was in public. There wasn't any point in falling apart like that, much less out where everyone could see her.

"They're housebroken, too, don't worry 'bout it."

Sauntering over to the fountain, Harley sets down the remarkably heavy bag and plops down next to Steph, blowing a gum bubble cheerily.

"I'm swell! It's gonna be like one big sleepover~!"

"Name five. They're cute, though, I will admit."

Steph smiles. Oh, she knows that Harley is a very good actress, so she can't be doing as well as she's acting, but...Steph is gonna help her.

"Alfred'll be soo weirded out! He'll be outnumbered by girls!! I'll help you with your bag, ok?"

Currently Abbot and Costello are staring into the fountain's water, panting happily, dopey hyena smiles on their faces.

"I read it in an article! It's gotta be true!"

She grins at the remark about the bag, though.

"Ha, don't worry, kiddo, I think it might be a little too heavy for ya~."

Harley laughs and gets up, slinging the bag over her shoulder. However, she sets herself off balance and starts windmilling backward toward the fountain.

"Yipe!!"

This just makes Steph laugh a little more. They're cute.
"Well, all right. They're paper trained, right? Alfred would kill me if I brought home animals that don't know how to use the paper....Don't need him angry at me."

She smiles a little.
"Careful, you. Oh. And if Alfred gets all British on you, I'll vouch...and try to keep in mind, he's from Gotham. We're all a little less trusting, I guess.
Well, except for me"

"Yeah, yeah! 'course they are!"

Harley flails just enough to keep from falling into the water and flops back down on the side of the fountain with a sigh. "Ick, think I swallowed my gum..."

"Ah, I ain't scared o' no butler. Ol' Jeeves is just gonna hafta get used to it. Hmph!"

She gives an exaggerated huff of disobedience, pretty much being herself as usual.

"Well, 'nuff about that! Let's get goin'!"

"Oh, good."
Harley just makes Steph laugh. All the time. The gum, Alfred as Jeeves, her expressions...

"All righty! He'll be ok, I hope. C'mon, doggies...do I call them doggies?"

Is this occuring while Alfred is out? Because I can't seen any way in hell he'd ICly let Harley in.

I...I guess so?
Yeah. Yeah, I think it is...gotta get her and the...dogs....into the apartment somehow. Now I really want a pet hyena, damnit.
Steph is gonna really push this, I bet...

"I call 'em my little maniacal mongrels~! C'mon, babies~!"

With a whistle, the canines look up at attention, scampering over to the two.

"Just gotta know how t'talk to 'em~!"

"I'm sure there's a story behind this somewhere. How does one....you know. Train them?"

"Lotsa patience and lotsa steaks."

Insert the raised eyebrow here.
But Steph isn't gonna ask any questions.

"Ok....Um...
Ok, so. We'll go back to my building...I've got a room all set up for you!! Right next to apartment!"

Harley twirls and laughs, giving Steph a thumb's up.

"Great~! We'll be right at home~!"

"You'll have tons of space, too! And I'll be right next door, and Kara is down the hall!!"

"Then let's get goin'! Hup-two, hup-two!"

"All righty, lets be off!!"
