Log;

The mission had initially been simple: Secure supplies for the Opera House stockpile. Although Amelia wasn't technically a resident of said house, she'd tagged along with Shiki quite willingly, happy for the one-on-one time with him. Since the loss of Rosette's watch, the girl had spent much of her free time looking for it. Aside from the odd reply to the Network, Amelia stuck to her task with great discipline (or perhaps just great stubbornness), and hadn't spent nearly as much time badgering Shiki -- or much of anyone.

Today was the day to cut loose. And the mission involved food, so so much the better. The girl kept up a happy babble throughout the trip, relieved for the downtime and enjoying the company. The end of it seemed to come all too quickly. Set on prolonging it a few more moments, having spied a cake vendor sporting free cake, Amelia insisted on pausing and splitting one between the two of them. (She *might* have gotten the larger half, but who would be saying?)

As the two of them entered the Opera House, arms full, she tried to ignore the faint queasiness which had arisen in her stomach, the taste of the cake still lingering in her mouth. "Ne, I'll help you put these away."
