Summary; Sirius and James go to meet up with Harry at the fountain.
Log; Harry was leaning on a building wall near the fountain, doing his best to listen to Sirius and keep from staring at it. Blurry images floated across it, slightly tempting him, but his mind was else ware.

He was moments away from meeting his presumed-dead Godfather, and quite possibly his father too. He banged his head against the building, trying to keep his mind from reeling.

Sirius and James made their way towards the fountain without talking much. Both of them were lost in thought about the boy they were about to meet, and they didn't want to make things even more awkward by talking about them. After about five minutes of walking- and occasionally tripping passersby to fall face first into the snow- they finally neared the fountain. Sirius felt his stomach turn over oddly at the sight of Harry. It was so weird... He really was James' double.

"Oi, Harry, over here!" He shouted, waving at the somewhat nervous looking boy.

Upon seeing Harry, James froze. He was intrigued by the boy, yes, but he was nervous. He wasn't sure how to feel really. He was about to meet his future son who happens to be older than him at the moment. An odd mixture of feelings surrounded him…he wasn't used to this many emotions…Evans he thought angrily. This all started when she talked to me!

He took a deep breath as he and Sirius and Harry got closer together. Sighing slightly, he prepared himself; he couldn't act like a pansy, with emotions and nerves. James walked to Harry and started inspecting the boy, moving in circles around him to analyze every last detail.

"I see you're lucky enough to look like me." He smiled, finally stopping in front of the boy; looking him in the eye.

Harry smiled a bit, remembering from his venture into Snape's memories how arrogant his father was. At the time he had been shocked, even hurt. Now Sirius' words rang through his head, 'Everyone is an idiot at the age of 15...'

His stomach twisted. “Yeah, well...” he smiled, “Everything except the eyes.”

"I dunno if I'd call that luck." Sirius said with a grin, clapping Harry on the shoulder. "But then, I suppose it's better than looking like Lily. No nancy boy of a son for our Prongs." There was something off about this boy; nothing to do with him personally, but there was some sort of lingering sadness in how he spoke, and even smiled, that set of warning bells.

"Now, I don't know what you have in mind, since I know your little girlfriend is here, but we'll definitely put you up if you want us to." He told Harry. "Dunno how much you'd like the Opera House..."

James looked at Sirius as though he were crazy…Harry would NEVER give up a chance to be with the Marauders to go to some bloody opera house with some snooty girl.

He slung his arm around Harry's neck. " 'Course he's gonna stay with us Padfoot. What, he'd choose some girl over us; the coolest people in Hogwarts?" James laughed at the idea. Please. He thought to himself, hoping his son was as cool as he knew he was…as cool as he had to be.

“Hey, I've spent the last year at school with Hermione, and I-” he cut himself off, rethinking what he had wanted to say. “She'll just try to get me to study.” he tried to act as if that had been exactly what he had meant to say. “And besides,” he added, “I don't want to be anywhere near Malfoy.”

"I'd forgotten that little turd was staying there too." Sirius said, beaming at Harry; it was good to know Harry wasn't mixed up with people like the Malfoys.

"Well, that settles that, then. Shall we move on? We've got a bit to get done before nightfall." He gave James a significant look.

"That's right," James thought, not quite wanting to leave Harry, but knowing that he had to be with Remus. Moony needs us. He thought before smiling and turning to head to the house. "We have official Marauder business to take care of. You understand, I'm sure. We'll take you to the flat and meet you in the morning then."

"Wait," Harry realized something, the way the two of them were acting. "Is it a full moon?" he asked, smirking a little.

Sirius stared at Harry for a moment before grinning broadly. "Should have known you'd have found out eventually. Well, yeah, it is, and you'll have to steer clear of the Warehouse for the rest of the evening, I'm afraid. There's plenty of food so just settle in and don't freeze to death."

As they made their way to the flat, James itched to ask Harry a world of questions. Quiddich, Lily, life...everything race through his mind. He rounded on Harry; finally not able to contain himself.

"What's your team?" His eyes grew, eager as he was.

"My team?" Harry asked, confused. "You mean... Quidditch?"

"Of course mate, who's you're favorite team?"

"Er, I dunno..." Harry paused, trying to think. He felt a bit shameful, being someone who loved Quidditch so much but knew very little about the actual teams and hype.

“I saw the Irish play Bulgaria at the world cup, but...” he trailed off, staring at the shocked look on James' face. "What?"

"Dun...DUNNO?! What is wrong with you boy?! I thought you played quidditch. What does the world cup have to do with anything? Ireland played Bulgaria?!" James went reder in the face, not from anger, but from the lack of air; he worked himself into such a fit, he started to hyperventilate. "PADFOOT" he gasped, "quidditch...teams..." After taking a moment to clam himself and breath, he started again.

"EVANS! SHE HAS SHELTERED OUR SON!!" He looked Harry in the eye and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll make sure to change that. No son of mine has to fumble about quidditch. Crazy women and their anti-quidditch dilemas!"

Sirius found this all very amusing, but a glance skyward told him that they needed to get moving. "We'll sort out any Quidditch dilemas when we have time, but right now we have to get a move on." And with that, he practically hustled the look-a-likes across the City Square and into Building 8. Striding over to their apartment, he whisked them inside and started gathering whatever Remus hadn't taken with him.

"Now, be a good godson and stay put." Sirius said, flicking his wand to make sure Harry couldn't escape through the windows. "We'll be back at sunrise. Or whenever we wake up. Sleep well, then!" He said, flashing one last grin before shoving James out of the room and making exit-by-door impossible.
