When; November 30th, Sunday Evening
Rating; None so far
Characters; Reno
elevatorwarrior, Anita
browning_baby
Summary; Reno had asked Anita out to dinner, to a little Italian place for a little fun.
Log;
The thing about Reno was that with most people, he didn't seem the type they could rely on very well. It was something about the way he looked, he figured, but appearances didn't always tell the truth. When Reno made a promise, he usually did it. So there he was, clean and groomed, standing outside of the Italian place Anita had spoke of, dressed up in his nicest set of clothing (which wasn't very dressy anyway, button up shirt and jeans), hands in his pockets and whistling.
Maybe it was a little early... but he figured out soon enough in his youth that girls didn't like being kept waiting. Reno was the sort of person that figured out the trick to most things he tried with more or less success.
A nice dinner would do them both good, he thought. Anita seemed a bit stressed out, judging from some of her entries lately, and he knew he was definitely after that really annoying confession curse. She was probably one of the few he knew enough (read:trusted) to ask, and probably the only one that wouldn't remind him of things at home.
So he waited.

A smile crossed her face when she noticed him waiting and yes, such things were always good for points in her book.
"Haven't been here long, have you?"

"How've ya been lately? Don't seem to get to talk as much as we used to." Reno said, taking his own across from her.

"I've been alright other than stupid curses and such. Just been keeping busy. You know how that is. How've you been?"

"Where're you working now?"

She was smirking over the rim of her glass as she took a drink.

"I was a licensed vampire executioner and I was born a necromancer. I used to help the police back home with preternatural murders and such and became a Federal Marshal to make that part of my job easier."

"You kill vampires, and you were born with the power to speak to the dead?" He raised an eyebrow, as if to say "am I right?" "I thought you were a wingnut before. Never quits amazing me how different the worlds are out there. Did you like the job, or was it a matter of convenience?"

She nodded absently, smiling a little.
"It was alright. I mean, it's something I'm good at and I seem to have a talent for it all, espeically now. What about you? What exactly did the Turks do?"

"Wha-" he started when it had calmed down a little, and coughed again. "I woulda thought Cloud told ya. Or... didn't speak much of his past, huh? Yeah..." Of course that was it, Cloud would be Cloud no matter who it was around him.
"Well, uh. What did Cloud tell you? I mean about our world." Not that he was going to go into detail about the Turks. He'd see what was out there, first.

"He told me a few things, but mostly about what happened to him. You know Cloud. He didn't say much of anything other than the Turks were very capable."

Interesting. He'd faced off against Cloud before and Anita knew that Cloud was good. He'd merrily run her around with his beloved sword and she'd had to work to score on him.
"Why'd you end up against Cloud?"

"He's left me bruised and battered but I heal fast enough most of the time that it didn't matter. We beat up on each other and ended up calling it a draw."
That wasn't really how it happened, but she decided that was the best way to put it.
