obsessivelyclean them up, and Kyle intended to have a good view when he did.He hummed Christmas carols to himself while he worked, trying to decide the exact number of strands he could get away with letting drop without Ianto getting suspicious.

That way he wouldn't get 'punished' along with the Barrister when Ianto came up the stairs and found the tinsel migrating. Of course the amused smirk on Jack's face might be a give away.
Whistle whistle whistle, don't mind him!
[ooc: Seriously, don't mind him. :) I wanted a placeholder/establishy but I've got to go lay down for a bit. Flu sucks!]

After several minutes, she padded into the room carrying a small plate of banana bread she'd just finished baking and a steaming cup of tea. A quick pause, then she laughed at the sight.
"Oh, Mister Jones is going to be very cross with you if he finds out you've been doing that."
[ooc: Get some rest!]

Finger over mischievously curved lips as he plucked a shiny silver strand from a bough and let it flutter softly to the carpet with all the pomp and seriousness of an artist at work.

Walking through the living room, his eyes narrowed when he saw just what was strewn on the floor.
[ooc: Feel better soon!]

"Oh, I doubt I'll have the chance."

"Hi, Ianto."

"Hey, Kyle. Gwen. Did Jethro jump at the tree, or something?"

Nosey peek at the coffee cups.
"Are those empty or full?"

"But there's tinsel all over. And they're empty." Gwen's giggle made him all the more suspicious.

Still grinning, she set the cup down and picked up the large book that had been sitting beside the chair.

"I can put those in the dishwasher if you get me a full one."

"All right, but I'll have to clean this mess first."

"Give me the cups."
Kyle got into prime ogling position while managing to look like he was just moving to take the cups from Ianto's hands.

Except, he employed safe tactics and crouched instead of bending. Hey, he didn't want a bad back, thank you.
...and maybe it was a little because of his suspicion.

"When you're done, there's fresh banana bread in the kitchen, by the way."

Kyle pouted a little behind Ianto's back, but he brightened at the mention of banana bread.
"I was wondering what smelled so good. I'll just go put these in the kitchen."
And he left the living room in search of banana bread.
[ooc: Continue without me, I need to sleep. :)]

He draped the dropped tinsel back on the tree, and sneakily tidied it up a bit, so it wasn't as messy.
"Hey Gwen," he said quietly, stepping closer to his team-mate, "who dropped the tinsel on the floor?"
