Let's have a resounding headdesk for my inability to post things to the proper places lately.

When: December 31st early evening - January 1st early morning
Rating: Teen
Characters: Open to all. This is not a post for Niko, just a general post to facilitate action at the club. If you'd prefer to assume outside of this post that your characters are at Lux, that's fine (my inbox might thank you for it).
Summary: New Year's Party at Lux. Of utmost importance, have fun! Remember that club security is obliged to remove patrons who disturb the peace, so use your best judgment if you have a character inclined to get rowdy. If your character works at Lux, it is entirely up to you whether that character is on the schedule or not tonight. No underage drinking for characters, please, and keep that "Teen" rating up above in mind. Be courteous towards your fellow players so that everyone can enjoy. Thank you! ♥

Champagne has been brought up from the wine cellar. Streamers and lights brighten the already lively interior. The vines twined around pillars and creeping up the walls are in full bloom, flowers of white and gold set against a backdrop of deepest green.

Plenty of space has been cleared for dancing, and the tables are arranged to allow for small, intimate groups or large and noisy gatherings. There's more than enough food to be had, and drinks for any taste.

It's Lux on New Year's Eve, and everyone is welcome to stay until well into the morning hours.

[As the hours wound down towards midnight, Jack pushed open the door to Lux, holding it for Ianto, whom he'd managed to get into jeans and studded belt!]

Oh don't start. You were laughing yourself like a goose as you and Gwen chased it around.

[Ianto considered, and then decided to drink champagne later.]

[Taking Ianto's elbow, Jack began to steer him towards a quiet booth he saw off to the side.]

Informative as well, who knew weevils couldn't swim.

[A booth sounded just about right, and Ianto let Jack steer him that way, sitting down on one side.]

Let's just never give them the opportunity to learn, hm?

[Shrugging out of his coat, Jack tossed it into the booth and sat down across from Ianto.]

[He chuckled]

You don't want to start a swimming class for weevils?

[Turning he nods at the young man sitting across from him.]

Ianto is doing his best to keep me out of mischief. If I maybe, Kurama this is Ianto Jones, Ianto Jones, Kurama.

[Accepting his beer with a quiet thank you, Ianto looked up at the newcomer, and smiled at Jack's introduction.]

Hullo, Kurama, nice to meet you.

[He held out a hand to shake.]

Niko should be back at his apartment, healing. His ribs still trouble him and his hand is still in a brace, but he's decided to ignore the friendly advice to night and come in to Lux. If any of his staff object, he can point out that he's there to watch the celebration, not to work, and if anyone raises an eyebrow at the sake he pours himself, he can point out that it's toso, prepared for its medicinal properties and not as a means to become inebriated.

Niko appears to be a man with a plan. Jack promises not to point out that he lost the battle against the tornado force that is Kyle Brooks. After all, that's a battle most lose.

Instead, at some point when he was up to get another water, he spied the man who had skewered him last week and decided to wander over for a hello.

He'd be surprised at the joviality if he hadn't spoken to Jack several times in the past few days. Niko nods to the captain in greeting and gestures to the stool beside him at the bar. "You probably look better than when I last saw you, so to speak," he replies. "Would you like to have a seat?"

Smiling, Jack took the offered seat.

"Thank you," he said as he slid up beside the other man.

"No doubt I do, you gave me a good how to and what fore," Jack agreed with an easy going smile. "I need to do some work on my own reflexes."
