log; in progress
When; Sunday, January 11th, afternoon.
Rating;G PG due to Shiki
Characters; Akiha
seeking_heat, Clow
i_themagician, and Shiki
concept_killer at some point.
Summary; Akiha is responsible, and Clow and Shiki have the collective attention span of a fish.
Log;
Head propped up on one arm over a book, Clow could have been a mannequin for how still he sat, his hair falling out of its loose ponytail strand by strand and falling in front of his face, partially obscuring it. The place and time and company were completely lost to him now, as he seemed old and oblivious in the same way that a particularly large tree is, as if asleep yet still soaking up something like sunlight or information. Then, all at once he remembered to breathe and leaned back in his chair, the creaking of furniture and shuffling of cloth almost seeming to echo throughout the library as there were almost no other sounds to drown it out. Picking up a pad and pencil, he began to sketch what looked like an eyeball and a glass lens. It was, from a potential onlooker's point of view, the most exciting thing that had happened all afternoon.

She and Clow had spent almost two hours studying, but compared to him, she was entirely too into this new subject of Magic Circuits to notice Clow's boredom.
[ooc: My laptop's not as charged as I thought, so giving it a breather after class.]

So, he stood, with no intention of doing anything whatsoever, and stretched, taking a little look over Akiha's shoulder as he did so.

"Clow-san, does the word 'Akasha' strike any meaning to you?"

A nervous smile - much as he sometimes wants to say that he never does Christian-based magic, "... So, I suppose it is somewhat important to me."

Her brows furrowed, crinkles forming on her nose. "The Origin of everything. And everything returns once they die. The more I ponder it, plus Nii-san's death and his gain of those Eyes, the closer I come to a disturbing conclusion."

If true, then any magi from our world will be after him! God, as if he never finds enough trouble. And heaven knows what the Church would do with him.

"Your God what? Did something happen?"

"We were just talking about how special you are," he remarked somewhat smarmily to Shiki when he arrived. The bandages were a good idea - Clow had wondered how Shiki was getting by without the glasses, and this certainly explained it. It was a bit of a relief, too, as he was well aware of what a visual anomaly he posed to Shiki's sight.

He had to think a second. He used that time to wander his way a little closer. He really did prefer to see.
"I remember seeing SHIKI standing over me, his hands bloody. And I could hear you crying. Then I woke up in the hospital. I can't really recall anything past that."

"I don't know. Blackness? Nothing? I was dead or at least I thought I was."

A frustrated glance could be seen on her. "To simplify things, you are the perfect guinea pig for any magi."
no subject
"I don't remember touching anything. And I doubt I'd be any guinea pig."

Her voice had reached a higher volume than before, and her fists were clenched tightly.

"Sensei probably knew all about that and didn't care. This buffoon over here doesn't seem to mind either."

"Actually, what I'm getting at is that I think Shiki is too powerful for any magician to handle. He could destroy anyone in an instant and they would be unable to stop him."
no subject
"Look! I'm no monster so I'm not going to be destroying anyone. And I'm not going to die or go insane! It's not going to happen because I said so, alright? So can we move on or something?"

He was genuinely curious. Unless Shiki could read braille, there's no reason that he'd just happen to wander into a library in his current state.

Really, he wanted to make sure Akiha was okay. She had been pushing herself pretty hard and probably felt terrible about all this and it worried him a little. Not like he was actualy going to say that out loud.
"I just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to take advantage of my cute little sister. I can never know with you."

"Nii-san, we came together to research your eyes, not each other."

"It's not that I don't trust you, Akiha. I don't trust him."

"Why would I project when I do it all the time with her."
The second those words left his mouth, he realized exactly how bad it sounded.

"Right. Moving on. And shut your mouth Clow. You knew nothing."

She didn't realize how her intentionally innocuous statement was easily corruptible by these two.

"I'm sure he could."
