His voice was serious, and she knew he meant what he said, obviously not wanting her there at all. Although over the past couple of years they had both spent most their days together, talking, laughing, sometimes disagreeing...they had never really outright fought before, except in play. In this moment...she knew that neither would agree with the other's decision. Still flushed, she managed to look up, trying to meet his unamused eyes.
"I can't do that." Voice quiet and a little shaky, she tried her best to keep the nervous anxiety she felt out of it. If she couldn't sound sure of herself, she knew it would make things that much more difficult, and she wasn't going to back down. "He's already expecting me...it...it's my fault things are the way they are right now. If Akito-san is angry...then it's my responsibility to stand up right now."
Taking another step forward toward the door, she visibly steadied herself.
