The grip Akito had on her shoulder was firm, and hurt, applying just enough pressure to make it uncomfortable. The touch sent a shudder down her body, and she swallowed thickly. While here in the city, Hatori was far away, safe back in their world. That meant that Akito didn't have the power to erase her memories, she didn't think. Were there things that the zodiac god had the ability to do though, outside of the jyuunishi? Tohru didn't know. It didn't matter.

If it's just physical...then that's fine. She tried to tell herself. Bruises healed. Back in the day, she knew that her mother had taken several beatings, being sent to the emergency room from having been hurt so badly. Even Uo had experienced violence in her life, having been hurt or wounded by the people in her own gang. If those two had suffered from things in the past, or had been hurt, then what right did she have to be afraid of facing that herself? It was fine...and she didn't really know what Akito had in store for her. People should be given the benefit of the doubt, and perhaps he wouldn't resort to something like violence. It's fine she thought, as she took a step to follow Akito.

The sudden iron like grip that clasped onto her upper arm though took her by surprise. Eyes widening, she turned to look up at Kyou when he abruptly yanked her from Akito's grasp, returning her to his side. Uncertainty and panic swept across Tohru's face. If he interfered--! The last thing she wanted was for Kyouto get into trouble, or something to happen to him. His auburn eyes though were desperate, staring straight into hers without wavering. The emotion was so evident, only enhanced by the silent pleading in his voice as he asked if she wanted him there with her or not.

Lips quivering, Tohru stared back up into his eyes without breaking contact. She wanted to say no. If he was there, then Akito's anger could easily be directed instead on him. Even though he had said it had been something the two of them decided to do together, Tohru still couldn't help but feel she was the one responsible. She'd pursued him even after he tried to get her to stop. Tears blurring the sides of her vision though, her head nodded ever so slightly in acknowledgment, before the smallest sound filled the silent air.

"Y-Yes..." She whispered. Even had she not been cursed today...Tohru didn't know if she would have been able to say anything other than that. She was scared. Selfishly, she didn't want to be alone at all. She wanted him there with her. She didn't want to do it by herself. Without much thought her hands reached forward to grasp his shirt for support, fisting into the fabric tight. Her head bobbed again in a firmer nod.

"I...I want Kyou-kun with me."
