Fear shot through Tohru as Akito pulled Kyou to him, anger and indignation having been evident in his voice. Unconsciously she took a step toward them, her body reacting on it's own as she moved to reach for him. N-No--! This was why I didn't want him in here to begin with--!
Almost as quickly as Akito had grabbed Kyou, he was released and put to the side, as though he was no longer of concern. Worried, Tohru's eyes followed him. Before she could move to take a step toward Kyou however, the God's eyes had turned back onto her and she'd abruptly become the center of attention. The accusation that poured from his lips was painful. She swallowed tightly, finding her eyes connected with his and opened her mouth to protest...
When suddenly a hand was wound tightly around her throat.
Eyes growing wide, the air in her lungs abruptly stopped up and a thread of panic shot through her. Hands rising they moved to the wrist trapping her neck. That hurts...! The fingers were tight, digging into the delicate flesh of her throat, making it difficult to breath. Nearly nose to nose Akito filled her vision, his angry voice filling her ears.
Mouth working the sudden shortness of breath caused tears to rise in her eyes. The iron grip hadn't loosened, making it impossible to swallow. She could breathe, barely, but her breathes were short, ragged, as she tried to suck in more breath. Fingers working, she tried to remove the grasp at her throat as she attempted to speak, the words strained.
"I--Inng ng I'm--n-not--!" She gasped. Did he not believe her about the curse? He was so upset that he didn't care to listen to her attempts to convince him, no matter how many times she said them. He hated her, truly hated her completely. But why? It was sad...when she'd truly wanted to be friends with him. She'd always been thankful for having been invited to live in that house, back home with Shigure and Yuki and Kyou. But if he hated her so much...then why had he allowed her to stay? Fingers resting atop Akito's, she stared with confusion but sincerity into the god's eyes.
