Log:

Al sat on the ground, considered using alchemy to make something, but then he remembered Izumi's words about not using alchemy unless absolutely necesary. If she came and found he'd transmuted something to sit on, she might get angry at him. The blonde couldn't suppress the shudder that went through him.

Izumi could be very scary.

Al sighed and looked around. He hadn't moved away from that eerie carousel since that's where Izumi would be looking for him. But still, it gave him the creeps, it just kept going, and no one operated it, no one rode it. What was it's purpose?

Then there was the ticking. It was constant and it wasn't going away. It was getting annoying.

"I wonder how long it'll take Teacher to get here." He wondered aloud as he brought one knee up to his chest. "Maybe this place won't seem so scary once she's here."

Izumi had locked the butcher store and rushed through the crowded streets of the City. She knew Ed wanted to pick up Al himself but he could not move and she was not in mood to sew stitches of his falls.

Hah. Let see if he could escape from his room.

Smirking, she let the ticking guided her to Al. Moving across the City was confusing enough sometimes. Fortunately, that annoying noise she wanted to smash down as much as the next person was useful in this case.

There he is, Izumi thought, spotting Al sitting on the ground at the distance. Her throat constricted in joy. The last of her boys home at last. First Ed, then Wrath, now Al. She speeded her pace to meet him. “Al! Al, over here!” the teacher exclaimed, waving enthusiastically. Once in front of him, she bended own to embrace her student tightly.

She did not release him for a long while, as she did not let go Ed or Wrath. Izumi dreaded Al would vanish if she were to let go, if her hands did not mess his blond hair and her chin did not rest on his shoulder.

But Ed wanted to see Al the sooner he could, Izumi knew that he would try something stupid to crawl his way to them somewhat.

“You have grown,” murmured the teacher softly, slowly loosening her grip and straightening her posture. “Bet you got stronger, eh, Al?” And got himself in more troubles, just like Ed. “So…” she coughed, gesturing with her head to follow her. “Let’s go. I’ll buy you a welcome cake at the Cafe. We’ll take it home.”

Izumi would ask Al about how did heget here later. She felt too happy to ruin that just yet.

After seeing his mother rush out of the house, Wrath knew something had to be up and fused himself with the door to get out. He followed behind, not too far, in order to see if she would be alright. He had lost her once, he didn't want to lose her again. When he saw the familiar blond in the red coat, he almost jumped. So, Al had finally made it to this world as well.

He leaned against a nearby building and waited for the two to return. Smiling, he said, "so, Al, you and your brother will be reunited again at last. I'm glad..."

Izumi patted Al’s head, glowing in pride at the boy’s admittance of practicing martial arts after her death. “Ohohoh? Have you? Once your brother recovers… balance, I should have you two fight to see who has improved the most.” She winked at her student.

She marched out the Carousel, leading Al toward Cafe Juliet. By midway, Izumi paused; an all-too-familiar voice had reached her ears. Eyes narrowing, she crossed her arms and turned to see Wrath, at the shadow of a building they were just passing by.

“You’re worse than Ed, honestly,” she noted severely, but then smiled, offering her hand. Izumi could not be serious long around Wrath. It was a soft spot she had. “We’re going to the Cafe, son. I’ll buy you the muffins you like to take home. How that sounds?”

Wrath merely smiled and took the offered hand. But he knew that today should not be about him, but instead about Al. He had to try to share his mother's attention...without being jealous. It had been hard to fight against his cardinal sin, but Wrath was managing.

Izumi was happy to see that Wrath got along with Al; his relationship with Edward was not bad but could improve. Maybe because both had an explosive temper and put together wasn’t a good idea.

“To the Café,” said Izumi, starting to move again, guiding both, her son and her student to the small looking shop. It was crowded and impossibly bigger inside. As much people gathered within, there was always a free table and chairs to spare. The atmosphere was pleasant laced with vanilla and chocolate scents.

“Choose what you want, Al, son,” she offered, feeling solicitous. Izumi would make sure to make the boys exercise harder tomorrow to justify that day’s gluttony.
