Wait.
This wasn't her home. It wasn't her bed. And - she turned. It wasn't Mat.
She could feel the panic rising and pulled away, holding the covers close as she tried to figure out what had happened and how she'd gotten here.
And then she remembered it all. The curse. Being so forward. Oh, god, trying to seduce Tony and being so horrible to Romana. The dance, Chuck, the crazy wonderful sex, and now here she was, a little lost and confused and wondering how Chuck would respond to finding out who she really was.
"Good... good morning," she said shyly, still holding the sheets tightly around her.

"What's wrong?" he asked confused. He couldn't recall anything wrong, in fact the last night was pretty spectacular...

Then it dawned on him. In the guide he got from Derek. It said something about weird things happening to people in the City. Curses.
But most importantly...
"You... wouldn't," he repeated after her and wondered how much of trouble was he in right now.

"Hey, hey. Calm down," he tried and wondered how to tell a girl that he wasn't interested in her brains to begin with without insulting her. Or hurting her feeling and making her cry.
"And who knows, if I get to know you better, I might like you just as much," he said hopefully.

Then her face fell and she shook her head. "Probably not. I'm too different. I can do the sex thing, but not as good as her. And I'm... my head doesn't always work right."

"How about we get dressed? I'll make some coffee..." Please say yes, please say yes...

She slid out of bed, no modesty, and looked around to try and find all the pieces of her clothing.

He put on his pants and went to the kitchen. He tried opening random cupboards hoping there was something he could make tea with...

He figured it was like going to bed with girl on crack and waking up to her sobered up... Only not so much...

"I'm not expecting anything," he said, finally finding something that smelled like it could be tea. "I never do."

He put the cup in front of her. "Here you go, though I dont know what it's worth.."

She took a sip from the cup and looked around. "This is where you live? I can't live in places like this. I get too scared."
no subject
He decided not to comment on that 'get too scared' part. He just got her comfortable, he didn't want to ruin that.

She looked wistful. "But I don't know if I'll ever be able to talk to some of them again after this curse."
no subject
"Why's that?"

"They know about them. It's just... The way I feel is a secret - has to be a secret. And now maybe they know. I can try and pretend it was all a curse, but I'm not very good at lying."
no subject
"Why lie? If they are your friends they should understand and accept you," he pointed out.

"Then don't. If you need a place to stay, while you avoid them, you're welcome here. There's a spare room"
no subject
"I can stay in my house or in the woods. Oh... you should come see my house sometime."

"Don't worry about that. Let's forget about the curse and start new, mhm?"
