Summary; In which Ino throws a party to celebrate Sakura's 18th birthday and newfound legalness. God help up all.

As best friend forever of the birthday girl, Ino felt it absolutely vital to throw the best damn party Sakura had ever seen--not a major feat, since Sakura also went by Killjoy McSpoilsport, but it was the thought that counted. Sakura would get the big party she denied wanting but everyone knew she wanted anyway, and Ino would get the chance to force everyone together, mix liberally with alcohol, and take pictures.

So after many hours organizing, buying things, assisting with presents (that means you, Naruto and Obito), and bullying Shikamaru into decorating and footing the tab, everything was ready for the ninja to let loose--or just jiggle around the sticks up their asses. There was a cake--chocolate, of course--a whole lineup of food, drinks of both the alcoholic and nonalcoholic persuasion, and buttloads of decorations, all in varying shades of pink. Everywhere. With some purple thrown in for good measure, because the best friend forever of the birthday girl said so.

Ino had instructed her guests to arrive at 8pm sharp, with a leeway of about half an hour before she personally hunted them down like animals, and as the clock ticked down to lift off, she smiled. This was going to be interesting.

"Oh," he voiced with disappointment. Even though he knew it probably wouldn't count -ice cream does not equal healthy- he still kinda hoped she'd let him slide on this one. Guess not.

"Well, okay. Maybe you can fix me a fruit basket or something." Maybe if he agreed to the whole fruit thing, he could milk some special treatment out of her.

Obito jumped - how had he possibly been discovered?! - but that was kind of the problem when all your friends were ninja.

"N-nothing!" he said very loudly and very quickly for an innocent person. "I was just...getting closer to all your decorations so I could" and, unaware of it, he made a face, "admire them."

"Em. This is like being at home, isn't it?" He'd meant it as a distraction, but realised how much he meant it and smiled...up at her, goddamn everyone and their age boost.
