When; Sometime yesterday-ish?
Rating; M for Moe (G)
Characters; Nia ([livejournal.com profile] absolutefaith) and Estelle ([livejournal.com profile] astris_excelsa)
Summary; Estelle and Nia bond and girltalk.
Log;

Nia inhaled deeply, taking in the pungent scent of dying cooking food. According to the schedule she'd set with Yuri, they were alternating the cooking duties, and it was Nia's turn to cook. Dinner the other night had been an absolute success, if Nia said so herself! She thought back on her roommates' stunned expressions with delight. Simon and the others often had said that her cooking was so shockingly out of this (or whichever) universe, it stupefied the palate of the taster. (The reason for Simon's lack of incoherence, though, was obvious--it's Simon. He was above being rendered delirious by Nia's cooking, good as it was.)

It had been so nice of Estelle to invite her to stay with them, and of Yuri to comply. A simple "thank you" was often enough for Nia to express her gratitude--she believed words said sincerely carry the feelings behind them--but that didn't mean she didn't like to express appreciation through actions, as well. Besides, it was important to be helpful! So Nia had happily committed herself to the task of keeping her flatmates' bellies full. Picking up a wicked-looking cleaver and grabbing a handful of odd-looking, unidentifiable vegetables (or were they fruits?), Nia hummed industriously as she began chopping away.

[ooc: I GOT IT UP, JENNY. REALLY LATE. BUT I DID. sob.]

To be completely honest, Estelle would rather go back to the castle than eat any more of Nia's cooking, but every etiquette lesson and moral her parents and tutors had instilled in her insisted that she "suck it up", as Rita would say. So Estelle only forced a smile as she entered the kitchen, attempting to breathe through her mouth.

"Oh, Nia! Are you cooking again tonight? How... Wonderful!"

Were those fruits she was chopping?

The Princess ignored the way her stomach seemed to flop, and simply smiled even wider, trying as best as she could to never look at the bowl without tipping Nia off. "I'm glad you're having fun," she responded, tilting her head slightly. "Are you settling in well?"
