Log;

Pavel Chekov was the youngest person on the USS Enterprise. He didn't much like being reminded of it, or reminding others of it, but sometimes he just couldn't help himself. Like right now he's a bit like a kid, running ahead of them, then turning around and waving them forward, before running back to them, bouncing on the balls of his feet, and running a head again. He is very excited.

"C'mon, hurry up!"

Scotty blinked at Pavel's boyishness and excitability, but smiled anyway. The lad's excitement was infectious to say the least. He had to admit, he was more than a little excited himself, but decided to hang back with the Doctor than run off like a school-boy.

"Aye, keep yer knickers on, lad! We're comin'!"

McCoy wasn't entirely sure if he was more amused or irritated at Chekov's behavior; both were certainly registering, and it alternated from one to another. To his credit, however, he was making a slight effort to not completely pour on the metaphorical parade. So as he watched the bouncing Ensign, he did so with a bemused half-smirk.

"I don't think the dragons and unicorns are going to get punted out of the dimension before we get there."

Scotty's enthusiasm died more than a little, his walking slowed and almost became cautious.

"Er, what dae they feed the dragons, lad?"

Oh, now this he couldn't resist. Scotty's reaction was too much of an opportunity to pass up. He regarded the engineer deviously.

"Why, what's wrong, Mr. Scott? You think the show might be a ploy to attract the meal?"

Scotty looked to McCoy. "Ye ne'er know, Doctor. I'm exited, but I'm no' a fool."

Then, he turned to Chekov. "An' ye know tha' fer a fact, dae ye?"

McCoy actually gave Scotty a semi-approving nod at that. Some caution was a little bit healthy, and something he was concerned that most of the crew didn't seem to be displaying; he wouldn't admit to it, but he was concerned about most of them.

Of course, he couldn't help but smirk at Chekov's protests... though even he had to admit that it was unlikely whoever ran this place would drag people in from other realities just to kill them in exciting ways. It seemed like prisoners were more entertainment alive, and he got the impression that was their primary function here, curses considered.

"I wouldn't worry too much," he grinned, "I think it's more fun to torture than to kill."

"Aye, but...did none o' ye read the guide?" He followed after the exuberant Chekov with the doubtful McCoy in tow. "The dead dinnae stay dead, here."

McCoy nodded, his tone a bit short as he walked along, "Mr. Scott, I'm the one who keeps reminding everyone of that fact. However, I have my doubts as to what they accomplish with a fully digested person... and I've been made to understand that not everyone comes back."
