Party log; ongoing; semi-open

When; June 5th, 19:30 - 23:30 (or so the invite says...)
Rating; PG
Characters; [livejournal.com profile] coolestcoolkid and friends. (Feel free to assume your character got invited if they've talked to him at least once.)
Summary; Clyde is celebrating his sixteenth birthday with a party in the TARDIS.
Log;

He'd call it a "Sweet Sixteen" if it didn't sound that girly. It looked like he had everything he ever wanted for his sixteenth birthday party. Well, except for the presents, which he didn't have yet. The room in the TARDIS had enough space for 'moving and shaking', there was a comfy lounge area and there were tasty snacks and really loud music. If he would've held this party back home, it would've been in his own house, with almost no space to dance, his mum watching his every move and the neighbours complaining about the noise.

Though as perfect as it looked, this party would still be missing some of his best friends. But could you ever have it all anyway?

"I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" from the Arctic Monkey's had just ended and the CD went on to play "One Month Off" by Bloc Party. Yes, this was his kind of party. Clyde glanced at his watch. Only a few more minutes before the first guests would arrive. With presents.

[ooc: Backdating is a-okay! Encouraged, even, considering I have to go to sleep now.]

open -- cooler than the red dress

Dawn is kind of... reliably not punctual, but she's actually on time for once. Also, stumbling under the weight of packages that seemed much easier to carry for long distances when she started heading out.

...So that thump? Would be Dawn almost dropping them-- but not quite; it would suck pretty majorly to break them now-- on the floor of the Tardis and offering Clyde a slightly embarrassed grin.

"Hi... I swear these were less arm shakingly heavy earlier. Happy Birthday, Clyde."

open -- you saw nothing

Anne followed behind Dawn, having not been entirely certain how to find the TARDIS, but figuring that the girl with all the packages would be going where the party was. She would have said hello, but Dawn looked like she needed all her concentration not to drop anything.

Anne's own present was small -- not knowing Clyde very well, she and Arthur and Merlin had decided that snacks would be best. All boys liked food, they had said. So she had made cupcakes, and had made sure to test them for edibility before bringing them over. Slowly but surely she was learning how not to be a complete dunce in the kitchen.

"Happy birthday!" Anne chirped, peeking over Dawn's shoulder.

"Careful not needed, for I have arms of..." Dawn rolled her eyes, laughed a little. "Limp noodles. No present breaking, though, I promise."

She bounced a little on her toes, excited to see Clyde open his gifts. The PS3 is a safe bet, but hopefully the games work. It's not like it was hard, because... teenage boy, PS3, likes shooting games. Fish, barrel, being shot. But still, most of the fun of presents is watching people open them.

...And admittedly, there are a few smaller, more personal things scattered in boxes; a really cool tie that should never born worn on account of the hideous DayGlo color, a rune for protection on a leather thong, some random knickknack type things Dawn saw and liked.

"So, when you get to the tie just know I don't expect you to wear it because you might blind people, I just thought it was funny. And I totally just spoiled part of your gift, but be surprised, okay? Or pretend to be."

[ooc: YOU MIGHT EVEN BE UP NOW late tag is late, fff. And hee! I have had that song in my head for DAYS.]
