Log; Ongoing [BackDated]
When; June 6th, Noon
Rating; PG (I'm going to say possibly PG-13 because there MAY be swearing...just trying to be polite)
Characters; Scotty (
allshesgotsir ) and Maeve (
ladyofwinter )
Summary; Maeve and Scotty have lunch to trade stories
Log;
Scotty wasn't usually one to suggest lunch to a woman. He was much more comfortable either in his own lab at City Solutions or putting the final touches on the shuttlecraft before its shakedown run on Monday, but Maeve seemed like a nice enough girl. It was an added bonus that she was so interested in his work. It was really all the material he had for conversation.
His clothing selection was still rather limited, not for lack of funding, but lack of care. He'd much rather tinker than go shopping. Why did he care about his appearance anyway? It wasn't as though he was taking the girl out on a date or anything. He was just...taking out a very attractive-sounding girl to lunch to trade stories. So, he chose his uniform. Women respected a man in uniform, didn't they? He straightened his sleeves and made sure the delta on his breast was straight. It wouldn't do to make a bad first impression.
The blip on his tricorder told him he'd reached his destination, and he looked up, the sign above the establishment offering visual confirmation. He entered.

Playing with one of her dreadlocks, she waited for him to show up. She had a feeling that she would know who he was when she saw him. Really, she didn't care much about him. However, he sounded useful. And easily swayed by someone attractive flirting with him. That was perfect.
Her clothes were her normal style. They showed off her body nicely. Leather pants that laced up the sides with matching high-heeled boots and a white t-shirt that was very tight on her thin figure, cut off to show off her stomach.
When he walked in, her cat-like eyes fell on him. Her lips curled into a smile as Maeve walked over to him. "Scotty, yes?"
no subject
"Aye, that'd be me," he said distractedly. "Yer Maeve, I take it."
no subject
"I am. Is it so nice to see you."
It was. She liked useful people.
no subject
"It's nice tae meetcha too, lass." He smiled. "Yer eyes are...sae verra green, Maeve."
no subject
Oh, he was making this so easy. Toying with men was a favorite pass time but this was especially entertaining.

He blinked after a moment. "Should we get a seat?"
no subject
"Yes. We should." Someone came over to help them and she led the way. She added extra sway to her hips as she walked.

He waited until after they were seated and their drink orders taken before looking toward her though. She may be beautiful, but Scotty's mind would always be a little mechanical. "Sae," he started. "Yer no' from Chicago, I take it."

She remembered that little detail. There were many things she'd left out but many things she'd implied too. She knew how to lead people to believe what she wished them to.

"Yer one o' the fair folk, lass?"

The surprise was amusing.

All the while, his expression was full of excitement and wonder. The only time he illustrated he may have been afraid was when they might have been sucked into a time warp, or died. Both of those possibilities frightened him, but the others, no. Scotty was only full of wonder.
"Sae," he concluded. "That's how we saved th' world and I became th' Chief Engineer o' the flagship o' the Federation."
no subject
"That sounds fascinating."
She didn't tell him what sounded fascinating though.
no subject
"Which part?"
no subject
"The transporter parts."
no subject
"That's my specialty."
no subject
She smiled slowly at him.

"Sae, what dae faeries do all day?"
no subject
"I like parties."
