When; Friday Night June 26th
Rating; PG
Characters; Quinn Sullivan
im_not_alice and Jun Hiiragi
rockstar_otouto
Summary; Finally after several postponements, Jun comes over to have pizza with Quinn. It's a proven fact that the easiest way to a man's heart is through his stomach...and this girl can cook.
Log;
She'd perfected the perfect pizza dough at age twelve. Rising enough that the crust was soft enough around the edges but not soggy beneath it. Not that she often took the time to actually make it since buying one at the local pizzeria was so much easier than making her own from scratch. Here in the City though, pizza was hard to come by. She didn't really have a choice but to make the dough and sauce herself.
Truthfully she had spent most of her time since childhood recreating receipes for everything from candy to eyeshadow. Pizza was akin to boiling water but when a good pizza was scarce, Quinn knew it was up to her to make it herself.
During the curse weekend, Quinn had gotten in a discussion with the boy she'd been handcuffed to about american foods. She knew she'd be making him eat one of her pizzas the moment she'd mentioned that her favorite pizza was canadian bacon and pineapple. What was with people finding pineapple on their pizza such a gross concept?
She'd run into him again last weekend before the storm got too bad and had made a date for earlier that week. Several times they'd had to reschedule due to Uta not being her...usual self. She'd come down with something similar to Ruari, but both of them were back to normal and the date they'd made for pizza, was finally back on.
Lifting the edge of the towel she'd placed over the dough as it rose, Quinn was ready to attempt to convince yet another person that there was no better pizza than canadian bacon and pineapple.
Someday there would be someone besides Cailyn that agreed with her.

It was much like his relationship with Kagami. The two had been handcuffed together during a curse, and the fact that she shared the same family name as him made him curious about her. But just as he was starting to feel for her, she vanished from the City. Jun would blame it on his bad luck. He never had luck when it came to women. They either said he wasn't their type, just wanted to remain friends, were interested in his brother, or flat out rejected him. That wasn't good for the boy's confidence.
He hoped today would go alright. Quinn said she could cook.. and Jun loved food. Hopefully she was a better cook than Yuuki though. As much as he was head over heels for her, he couldn't stomach her food but didn't have the heart to tell her.
The purple haired boy made his way to Quinn's apartment, then knocked on the door when he arrived.

“You made it! Come in.”
Moving aside to let him in, Quinn shut the door behind him before leading him for the kitchen. Heading straight for the fridge, Quinn began filling her arms with a large assortment of various containers of different sizes. “I figured that since part of the fun of making a pizza from scratch is actually getting to make what you want, that maybe you'd enjoy that too.”
One by one, Quinn placed the containers down on the counter in front of Jun.”Pepperoni, green peppers, onions, sausage, black olives, green olives, pineapple, mushrooms, canadian bacon and homemade pizza sauce. I don't think I forgot anything.”
Looking up a little embarrassed, Quinn pulled the towel off the dough. The bowl was filled to the top with enough dough for about eight different pizza's. “I thought we could make a few extras and hand out leftovers.”

“Can't you think of anyone who would love to have some pizza delivered to them?” she asked, sprinkling a little bit of flour onto the counter before putting down one of the balls of dough on top of it. Picking up the rolling pin, Quinn flattened the dough into the recognizable shape. “I can think of several people who would love one.”
“But first we'll start with the important one,” she said, placing the dough on the pizza pan. “Do you want to put the sauce on?”

He was a bit surprised she asked him to help her with the pizza. Jun wasn't a bad cook or anything (since he had to make dinner and what not for Hiiragi, Carl, and himself because neither could cook and last time Hiiragi tried cooking, the microwave exploded), he just wasn't all that confident about it. But hey, if he could learn how to make pizza on his own, that'd be pretty awesome.
He smiled and walked over to her, looking optimistic. "Sure! I can try."

"Just start with a few spoonfuls of it," she offered, placing the towel back over the bowl of dough so it didn't dry out as the worked. "We can always add more if it's needed."
"You seemed to know a lot about American foods? Have you been there before?"

Moving away from the counter, Quinn opened the fridge and removed the cheese from it. "I think that looks good. If you want to put the cheese on, I'll roll out another crust."

"Oh, sure! I can do that." He added.
I'm so sorry DX
Shaking her head, she really just couldn't see it. "You don't seem the type to have a butler. What do your parents do?" Okay, maybe that was a bit rude. "If you don't mind me asking. Really. Feel free to tell me it's none of my business."
S'okay!
