When Nate saw Hong Mei, he brightened visibly. If she was carrying a bit of weight heavily, Nate didn't notice it right away. One thing about being a telepath was that you didn't really pay a lot of attention to body language.

"No, no time at all," he told her. He had only been waiting a few minutes and spent it rehearsing what they were going to do.

"Before we start our lesson, I realized I never asked before," he said. "What type of dancing do you want to know? Ballroom, club dancing, swing?"
