Summary; Doll tries to get to grips with modern appliances, and Beast intervenes to save their apartment from an untimely fate.

Doll combed the fingers of her left hand through her hair, face set in concentration as she stared at the strange box in front of her. She could make out the numbers on it easily enough, but the words escaped her.
Still, couldn't be that difficult to use, could it? She placed the food she'd bought inside it - easy as anything to warm up, the lady at the store had told her while she was giving her a brief explanation, clearly used to people in the City who had never used such things before.
Clicking the door shut, she pressed buttons at random until the box lighted up and started to make a humming noise. Resting her chin on her arms on the counter, she settled down to watch, eyes wide as the food inside turned round and round.
