Log; Ongoing
When; Afternoon of August 4th
Rating; PG
Characters; Roy Mustang and Remy leBeau
Summary; Police Headquarters
Log;
Hindsight as they say was 20-20, but unfortunately that did not go with foresight. Had he known better, he likely would have scheduled the interview for another day. Not that it was truly an inconvenience for Roy, but the reports on his desk had seemingly doubled over night. No comment had been made to that, since Roy knew better than to whine (too much) about his files. Anyway, the Lieutenant was once more back in the city, and she had done her usual work of making sure that Roy was not pawning his work off onto other Police Force members (but they offered, so why wouldn't he have accepted? ... unfortunately she had not seen it that way.) Still, it wasn't that bad, just a bit mundane, although perhaps a bit of mundane wasn't really that bad. After all, look at the events back in his world... A coup, 'immortal' armies, homunculi and Lust's words still haunting him. He had found Maes' killer, which was a blessing and a curse at the same time, but the cost had almost been too high.
With a sigh, he put down his pen and wiggled his hand, and though that perhaps it would be a good day for an interview after all. He would be able to stop 'working' for a short (or perhaps long) time while he conducted the interview, and it was a legitimate form of work, for of a city this size filled with all sorts of people and beings, the more on the Police Force the merrier. Some people did not seem to understand that they were only human, and as humans were limited. Still, Roy would do what he had to do, for whether or not this was his actually city, his hands were for protecting people not harming them. He leaned back in his chair then, taking a sip of his lukewarm coffee, and thought perhaps he should have given a more specific time, but, as he eyed his desk, it wasn't as if he were going to be able to go anywhere anyway until the day was over. Hopefully the fellow could come sometime soon and give Roy a real break.
