Summary; Luki likes spaghetti and Huey is trying to be nice. Yes, I suck at summaries.
Log;

Spaghetti was the best thing ever, at least that's what Luki thought. When she and Noki wanted some they always had to earn their own money by bringing in bounties. Not that doing that wasn't fun on it's own but it was hard work. She was excited that Huey had offered to take her to get some here. She missed spaghetti.

Skipping up to his door she knocked, "Mister Big Hair are you there?"

For the better part of the day he had attempted to keep his mind occupied on something other than what he had planned for the day. He read, he practiced, he slept...well not for long or as he would have liked. Hearing the knock at the door he got up from his current posistion in the living room and went to open the door.

"Yeah, are you ready?" he said.

"Pandora's." he answered.

Though he really thought he should've brought up the idea of the other place Sharhazad gave to him, but Umi said that Pandora's would be a good place. Although, the little tagline she added about it caused him to feel several different levels of self-conscious. The smile on Luki's face didn't do much to quell the lingering words his blue-haired friend said to him. Huey stepped out of his apartment and closed the door behind him.

"Let's go."

"A place my friend told me about." he said. "Yeah, I have four roommates but two people who stayed with me before have left The City already."

Well it wouldn't do too much good for the both of them to do nothing standing around in front of his door, so he began to walk ahead knowing Luki would get the message and catch up with him.

"Everyone except for Beat, Rhyme and Neku."

He took his hands and folded them behind his head while turnng his gaze towards the girl. The boy just gave the girl one of his rare half-smiles before looking forward again.

"Are you living on your own still?" he asked.

The smile Luki gave was one he wouldn't deny wanting to see on her face more often...well maybe deny when interrogated by other people. He wondered what would happen if Timothy caught wind of him going out to eat with Luki and the conclusion his mind came up with made him glad that he didn't discuss his plans with his friend. Huey listened to the girl as she relayed the information about her living arrangements and thought over what he heard.

"Why don't you stay with Sharhazad? She likes you and more than likely wouldn't mind you staying with her." he suggested.

"Couldn't you just give it a try for a few days at least?" he asked.

He looked further ahead and saw Pandora's a smaller distance ahead of them. Huey picked up speed and reached the door first and waited for his companion to catch up to him.

"Because she's worried about you." he said.

He walked inside after the Luki and also observed his surroundings and he noticed that they were practically the only children there. The majority being adults or older teens dressed well and apparently on dates. Huey felt his face freeze up into a mild grimace and he stayed that way for a few seconds before the matradee grunted. Looking up towards the person he coughed into his fist and pulled at his collar before speaking.

"Uh two please...non-smoking?"

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
The matradee quickly left the pair after they leave Luki and Huey at a an empty table near the back but not before telling the pair that their waiter would be along shortly. He sat down in the chair across from Luki's and gave the girl his answer to her previous question.

"It's because she cares about you a lot."

"You can get whatever you like, Luki." he folded his hands underneath his chin while trying not to smile. "Did she now?"

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
The pause wasn't lost on him. He looked at Luki as she kept her head down while talking about how different it was playing with Sharhazad was than her normal definition of playing. A small smile formed as he thought about how he would need to thank his Methuselah friend later.

"That doesn't make it any less fun now did it?" he said. "Also I think I'll get something light on meat."

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
"I just don't feel like eating something heavy at the moment." he answered.

The waiter came by finally and Huey turned his head to face him.

"Right...so I think we're pretty much ready to order sir. I'd just have some fettucine with pesto alla genovese and some water to start with. Hey Luki, tell the man what you want." Huey said.

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"I haven't, a friend of mine told me about this place when I asked about places that served pasta." Huey said while taking another look around the establishment.

He frowned slightly. It wasn't because he didn't think the place was bad, he actually thought that it was well set up. For him it was just the sight of seeing a few people look over his and Luki's way with happy grins and pointing. It also didn't help his greatly contained embarassment when he heard whispers of "how cute" and "adorable" from some patrons behind him.

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-14 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm frowning because everyone is looking at us like we're some sorta of couple." he continued fought the urge to glare at an old lady who had decided it would be neat to take a picture of them. "Anways I have quite a few friends, more than what I have back home. I think people make friends instead of spending time being lonely here."

And at the exact moment of the girl's confusion he felt the sudden need to bang his head against the wall or table, but he settled for frowning back at a random waiter passing by with another table's meal. Huey sighed and sank back into his chair and drummed his fingers along the table, hoping that their audience would get the clue and go back to their own meals and stop paying attention to them both.

"Because they were annoying to me plus I was a harsh person and that pushed people away at times." he explained before realizing that he didn't bother to explain Luki's initial question. "Well a couple is what they call people who...like each other and go places."

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-15 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Well...yeah but they're thinking in the more romantic sense of the phrase." Huey rubbed his hands together. "I meant that I didn't spare anyone's feelings when it came to their problems a lot of the time."

[identity profile] child-radical.livejournal.com 2009-08-17 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Well when somebody is facing something that's troubling them they expect for you to try and make them feel better." he answered before reclining back in his chair. "And yes I did think they were silly most of the time but being here just taught me that I was pretty much wrong about that mindset."

He looked up when he heard their waiter arrive with their meal.

"Thanks alot."
