Summary; Schuldig and Nagi discuss what will happen in the future.
Log; Schuldig slammed the side of his fist into the wall nearest him. Not that it looked much like a wall considering the appearance of their apartment, but details aside. He was, understandably, displeased. What the hell had he seen in that brat's head? A future where they're less than enemies?

"What a joke. There's no way it's true," he snorted, glancing over at Nagi.

What could have happened to warrant such a change? What had Weiss said to obtain their cooperation? He needed to keep Nagi away from Omi's ridiculous ideals. He wouldn't accept a future where he hadn't gotten his way.

Nagi looked up from the communicator and at Schuldig, wondering what was going on. What future did Omi's memories hold? What happened to him in the future? He was apparently very powerful... and also helping Omi Tsukiyono. It didn't make any sense.

"Schuldig..."

"The brat talked to you, didn't he." It wasn't a question as much as it was a statement. Of course he had, he'd picked up that much from shifts in their thoughts. That amongst numerous other unsettling things. He frowned, clearly still irritated by the very idea.

He leaned back against the wall, arms folded over his chest as he tried to pull some semblance of sense from the situation. There was a gap that needed filling in that future Omi's thoughts. And that gap was Schwarz's goals and mindset. Without that he couldn't possibly make an connection between Schwarz at present and what they would be in the future.

But rest assured, he already didn't like it.

"Mm, he did." Nagi tilted his head in vague curiosity. He wanted to know... but whether he knew or not didn't make much of a difference. While he didn't like the idea of someday working with Omi Tsukiyono, perhaps there was a good reason. Nagi liked to think that his future self wasn't a dumbass, after all. And even if there wasn't a good reason, surely with his newly acquired knowledge, he'd be able to avoid such a future. "Are you going to tell me?"

"If the future in those thoughts is credible, we're no longer at odds with Weiss. I can only assume we share a common goal to ever cooperate with them," Schuldig answered. Omi had spoken to him. It'd be stupid to outright lie to Nagi now. He could already hear the curious thoughts radiating from his comrade.

"I'm not interested in the future I saw. I won't let it happen. There's nothing in it that makes sense to our current goals."

Nagi thought over this information. A common goal? It couldn't be chaos. Why did their goals change? Chaos clearly wasn't achieved, so what did Schwarz focus their attention on that had them collaborating with Weiss? It didn't make any sense. He needed to know more.

He swiveled in the little chair he got for himself to face the computer he also acquired. "It is possible to change the future. As it is, nothing makes sense."

"From what I gathered, we're aiding them in the removal of Eszett, but I'm sure he told you that too," Schuldig frowned. Where was the future of chaos that Schwarz had desired? Where was the future where they stood at the forefront to watch it crumble? Damn it, where was the ideal they'd had?

"We would have gotten rid of Eszett on our own. We sure as hell wouldn't have agreed to help. Tch, so why? Why is that future saying we did?"

His fists clenched. "We'll change it, Nagi."

Nagi remained quiet for a moment, pondering. He didn't understand, either, certainly. And Schuldig, who could read Omi Tsukiyono's thoughts, still didn't understand, perhaps only time could tell. Would Omi Tsukiyono even remember when the curse ended?

"Yes," he finally said, quiet but strong. "We must."

"Don't let that brat try to spew his bullshit ideals at you. It's not the future we want, we can see that now. That future is theirs. We won't settle for anything less that what we wanted. We don't have to."

Schuldig moved over to Nagi, leaning over him slightly. "We'll never stoop so low as to help the enemy. They exist to stop absolute chaos, we can't let them get their way."

"I know," Nagi replied silently. Humanity deserved nothing less than utter chaos, he knew this. But- why had his older self gone along with helping Weiss? "There are many different paths. We just have to choose the right one when we get out of here. That's all."

There was certainly a puzzle piece or two missing from the entire situation. Schuldig would be sure to find those missing pieces, somehow. And get rid of them. Because obviously those were the pieces that had changed their path.

"We need to get rid of Weiss when we get home. First and foremost. They are the ones who stand in our way."

"You don't need to say it twice." A sigh. That sort of suggestion was only obvious... but why hadn't they accomplished it already? Why was Omi Tsukiyono able to live and pass on the message? Tch, stupid Weiss. Saying such things could drastically alter their future. He probably sealed his own fate.

"Crawford and Farfarello need to hurry it up. I want to finish this," Schuldig growled, torn between mulling further over what he'd seen in Omi's mind and the gleeful thought of destroying Weiss once and for all.

He would have preferred to take them out after he'd mangled their psyches to the point he'd managed right after entering the City, but he was inclined to wait until Weiss was outnumbered by Schwarz. He could always seek to re-torment them, but Weiss had begun to move to find ways of blocking him out. He frowned at the idea that they were trying to deny him his fun, his toys, his prey. He wouldn't let it happen.

"I do, too, but there's no way to tell when they'll appear." Nagi sighed, checking his device for answers that it wouldn't give. "It seems that that's the one thing deities will not do for any price. Bring people back. I've seen entries of people trying."

"If they don't show up soon, we'll have to do something about it alone," Schuldig decided. "I don't care to make any deals with the deities here. If they show up or not, we're going to finish this. We can't wait forever. They're already ahead of us in time."

"We're outnumbered, but it shouldn't be too difficult." Nagi turned back to his computer and analyzed his data. Information on all three Weiss members popped up, filled with numbers and statistics and senseless words. "They may have increased in power, but not enough to overwhelm us."

"Of course. They're only human, after all. They can never reach our level of superiority."

Schuldig glanced over the screen, not paying too much attention to it. He'd always left the computer work to Nagi, and that was no different now. Asking Nagi to hack this and that to suit his whims. He saw no reason to really read all of the data Nagi had obtained. Nagi would tell him the important details.

"Do you have something in mind?" Nagi didn't both to glance up from his screen as he mentally scrolled through the data, adding things where necessary.

"Hah. Maybe," Schuldig answered vaguely, "We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?"

"Oh, and Nagi? Do be sure to tell me if Omi Tsukiyono happens to contact you again. There shouldn't be any secrets between us, don't you think?"

Somehow, Nagi is very unsurprised at this. Though he wished Schuldig wouldn't spring these things up on him so quickly. He'd like a little bit of a warning, at least.

"No, no secrets. I plan to discuss the future with him."
