Neil hasn't looked good, lately-- for the past couple of weeks he's been obviously out of sorts, though he's tried to cover it with forced cheer whenever possible. Tonight is different; he's positively beaming, when he's not paying attention to his expression, trying not to seem like a madman. Not that there's any clear indication as to the cause of his change in mood. Not even the odd stolen glance at Todd-- a telling lack, in itself, if you know what to look for.
"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life. To put to rout all that was not life, and not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived."
