Summary; A cell gets flooded from the inside before Prison Island sinks underwater.
Log; "...There you go! Now we're talking." Mat's medallion had hardly suffered any damage, far as her fingertips could tell. Though Umi's senses were absorbed by the feeling of cool water dribbling through her hands.
Sweet water, she noticed, feeling grateful her ability to perceive her element was returning to her as she gradually recovered her strength. So it could be that this was a river or lake or some other body of water surrounding them. It'd been the fury of the ocean encircling the whole City that she'd felt, and still could feel. As if the waves predicted something terrible was about to happen and this angered them. That couldn't bode well.
"Can you feel it?" She turned to Shin with the question, as her hand reached in the dark to hand the medallion back to Mat. "It's really happening, isn't it. This place's going to get destroyed with everyone insi--- ahhhh! What!?"
A piercing pain struck her eyes and she had to squeeze them shut. But the moment the pain receded and she opened them again, Umi understood. The blur that was the dark cell and her two companions came slowly into focus. "I can...!"
Her sight had just been given back. So it had to be Sunday already.

He was unarmed but he was also lucky. He'd manage.
"Let's get out of this bloody cell and out of here." He didn't like the sound of everything being destroyed with people inside. The sooner they were out, the better.
I SUCK SO HARD.
He could use some of that luck, right now.
I DISAGREE. 8|
At least her water magic was slowly gathering now that she'd been left alone for a longer while. What had happened to Shin's own abilities, then? Was it part of his punishment that his bond with this "Suiko" had been cut?
"Mat, can your luck help him?" She asked, wishing she understood much better how both Shin's and Mat's powers worked. "Shin, good luck or not, I'm sure you can overcome this thing!"
I SECOND THE NO SUCKING THING
Stepping forward, he put his hand on the boy's shoulder. "Look, getting frustrated won't help." Then he looked at Umi. "Can you get the door taken out? Maybe if we get out of the cell that'll help."
Light if he knew. Magic or whatever was not his area of expertise.

"I have it!" The armor filled in a missing piece of his soul and he almost cried with relief.
no subject
"Really? You mean... it'll work now?" She asked, though it wasn't really necessary: one look at Shin was enough to notice the change. "This is great! Mat's right: let's test it with that door! If you can flood it, I can freeze it!"
no subject
"First person to find a broom or a long stick or anything like that, tell me." Then he'd be more useful than just providing them with a good amount of luck.

and some strategically placed wrapping paperlater, he was wearing a blue and white plated armor with a long trident clenched in his hands. It only took another second for him to send a geyser of water crushing into the door.

Focusing on her spell, the Water Knight both drew energy from the rush of her element and burned the strength she'd recovered into her most powerful spell. "Koori no yaiba!"
The stream Shin had sent forth froze along with the door. Seconds afterward, the flying ice blades coming out of Umi's hand tore it apart.
no subject
"Light, you two."
But since the door was out of the way, he stepped into the hall. "We're clear. Let's move."
no subject
"Have Shuu show you what he can do with rocks some time."
He let Umi go before him, glancing around at the row of cells. Some of them were empty, but...
"We can't just leave them here."
no subject
That reminded her... Yes, she still had her glove on. Thank goodness. She hadn't been able to summon her sword because her will had been as exhausted as her magic, but there she had it now. The rapier came out without problems.
no subject
They really should get out of here.
"Burn me," Mat muttered as he looked inside. Empty. He moved onto the next one. "You two can handle locks then?"

She turned to Mat with a frown when this came to mind. "Though... which WAY is OUT?"
no subject
If it ran out now, they were done for. He didn't want to die here. As badly as he wanted to protect Rain, he couldn't be trapped away from his own world. There was too much Mat needed to do.

"The ocean falls away. We're water, now. We'll have to go up to get out.

Turning without thinking would mean he'd find the right way faster than thinking about it.

[OOC: bring in Clef and Shuu, soon? What do you guys think?]

But she wasn't mad enough not to feel happy to find just empty corridors. In all likeness they were moving too fast for the guards to know where they were.
[OOC: Great by me if you both wanna.]

Turning another corner, he looked back at them. Everything was alright so far.
[ooc: Works for me!]

He looked like hell - dirty, his (Earth) clothes burnt and torn, and missing his staff. Whatever he had been through had apparently done nothing to quell that infamous temper of his, however, and he had been putting it to good use.

Shrouded in a cloud of dust, an armoured figure paused, looked around and spotted the group, heading towards them with rhythmic determination. It had what looked like a very large staff slung over its shoulder.
Thankfully, for Shuu's sake, the dust cleared enough for him to be recognizable when he was a good twenty feet away.
"I thought it was you Shin!" He grinned at his buddy and looked to Mat. "Looks like you're here too. And..." He looked bewildered to Umi and Clef. "I dunno. Anyway, this place is set to blow right?"
no subject
"It certainly took you long enough, Kongo," he said when he pulled back, sweeping his eyes over Shuu's armor with a look that said, 'you will explain this.'
no subject
Though, he'd think about Shuu having armor too later.
"Let's get moving people. I'm not going to die here, thank you."
no subject
Clef was there, and looking rather worse for wear at that. Reassured to hear the newcomer was acquainted with Shin, she just devoted her attention to the magician.
"Clef!! So you did make it out by your own means! Mat's luck is really incredible! I can't believe we found each other!" She checked to see if the master mage of Cephiro was severely wounded and in need of what assistance they could provide as best as she could, while she wondered if they had time for anything resembling introductions. "Uhm. These are Shin and Mat. We were stuck in a cell together... But Mat's right. We should hurry..."
no subject
"Yeah, let's save the niceties for later, ladies and gents." Shuu switched down to his sub-armour. He could still break through walls, but this allowed him more maneuverability. He'd only really needed it to use Gan Tessai to break in.
"We should be able to get back the way we came. I'm guessing the plan is to get out, and help anyone we find on the way? Er..." He looked at Clef. He wasn't just a kid. He looked the worse for wear. "You gonna be able to keep up? I can carry you."
no subject
What the hell.
He found himself grabbing one of Umi's hands for some reason (he'll probably drop it as soon as he thinks about it, but for now there you go) before he said or did anything else. And he probably had been going to say something, but Shuu cought his attention first. For a second he scowled at the very suggestion of being carried, but then his rationality got the better of him and his expression relaxed. Shuu was only trying to be helpful, after all.
"... I'm fine," he says quietly, almost muttering. "Thanks."
no subject
"Do you want to split into groups? Five of us roaming the halls seems like it would attract attention. And we'll free more people faster."
no subject
"If we split up, someone loses my luck. Sticking together means that we stand a bloody chance of getting out together."
no subject
Smiling at Clef reassuringly, she managed to give his hand an encouraging squeeze before they let go of each other. She also nodded quietly to show she understood he could handle things on his own.
"Mat's right. I'm not sure if we should risk that. But if we really do split up..." She considered matters as best she could before she went on, holding her sword tighter. "Then we have to make sure we all get even chances of escaping. The most powerful of us go separate ways. I don't want anyone left behind just because they were so tired they couldn't fight their way out..."
She sighed and looked up as more noises were coming from the hall. "We better decide fast..."
no subject
"Look, let's not stand around arguing too long. We're going to attract attention one way or another, and like this we can probably beat those guards."
no subject
Glancing over his shoulder, he nodded to Shuu and moved to the back of the group since he knew that he was not exactly as fast as everyone else with their longer legs. He could handle it, anyway. "I'll cover the rear - go!"

He wasn't comfortable with that boy in the back. Glancing back at Shin, he whispered, "Tell Shuu to stand close to the boy. I want to try and not have him get left behind accidentally."
no subject
"It'll be okay." She nudged Mat a little just to tell him this. She smiled reassuringly, sending a surreptitious glance in Clef's direction. "I'll keep an eye on him too. But really. I bet he's by far the most powerful of us..."
After that she turned to the small magician, making it pretty clear she intended to stay beside him all the way until they got out of that maze of a prison.
orz so late ;A; Net failed me yesterday
Falling in line with the group, Shuu kept a watchful eye, ready to fight anything that got in their way.
"Who the hell would send anyone here anyway?"
