Yuuki Kidnapping
Yuuki Kidnapping
Pictures lined her wall, accompanied by other small knickknacks and things she had acquired since being dragged to the city over a year ago. She smiled a little at a picture of herself, Zero, and Yori all at the carnival together. It had been a curse day, but they’d all had fun. In the picture she’d just put a funny looking hat on Zero’s head, and the three of them were holding the goods they had collected from all of the various games they had played. He looked as stoic as ever. He always did. But if you looked close enough, at least to her, she thought you could see the slightest upturning of his lips.
She was sure he would argue it was a grimace, but she knew better.
Next to the pictures of her current roommates, there were other pictures of her friends, letters, and notes that decorated the wall above several dusty, untouched study guides that Autor had left in her care. The soft smile that crossed her features was gentle. Maybe she really hated the city. It did a lot of terrible things, and she was only just getting over the events of the past couple of days. But…the people. The friend’s she’d made since coming here, they were special. And she missed some of them very much.
That was why she wanted to get better, and past the illness that felt as though it were tearing her very body apart. Cooped up in her room for so long now, she wasn’t accomplishing anything. Broken memories, delusions of blood, fever, fear, growing nightmares…that wasn’t her. Those weren’t the things she wanted to experience and she was stronger than whatever was happening. Zero rarely rested anymore. He rarely went out except for mundane household chores, and she knew just how worried Yori was over her. They deserved better. Both were being so strong to try and help her. She didn’t want to be a burden to them anymore.
Zero has his own things to worry about.
Snatching up the stuffed bunny her closest friend had gotten for her last Christmas on the bed next to her, she drew it comfortingly into her arms. I won’t be the one responsible for using you up to the point of no return. She’d wanted to know her past for so long. If he believed she was capable of overcoming things by using her own strength and to try and remember, then she wouldn’t hold back.
Remember…Remember. Curling up around the stuffed bunny she closed her eyes. Lost, abandoned in the blood stained snow. But before that. Just remember, she thought determinedly, her brows creasing in concentration. Past the snow and the blood, she had gotten there somehow. She was alive, she had to have had parents, and there were people she once used to live with. So who were they? What happened to them? Remember.
Zero and Kaname save Yuuki and Fight Rido
Yuuki Kidnapping
The blurry image of a woman covered in blood reaching down to her. Terror. Crying.
Trembling Yuuki’s hands clenched around the stuffed toy so tight that it could break. A cold sweat swept across her body. Remember.
‘Don’t leave me, Oniisama--!’
Remember.
‘The smell…of daddy’s blood!’
Remember.
‘I don’t resent that.’
Remember.
‘But when you wake up. You won’t remember anything.’
Remember.
There was a frightening man with different colored eyes. Mouth twisting into a gruesome smile, blood dripped wetly from his sharp fangs.
Remember!
Fangs opening wide, the smirk he wore was triumphant as his hands reached out to grab her.
Remember!!
‘Just become my sacrifice.’
Eyes snapping open, Yuuki gasped, jolting up right into a sitting position. Soaked in a cold sweat, she shook rapidly, breath quick as she blinked several times. That dream again, she thought in frustration. Her head pounded, body drained as though she had just run a marathon.
“Nng…”
Raising a hand to her head, she took a moment to gather her senses and separate what was reality from the mirage of mismatched flashes of memory or illusion that she had just experienced. It was so difficult, especially when it always felt so real. Sick to her stomach, she moved to push herself up from bed, when a small scratching noise caught her attention.
"Huh…?”
Still holding the toy, she glanced around the room, trying to discern where the noise could possibly be coming from. It sounded like… A cat? Since becoming so sick, she was careful not to let Zero-chan sleep with her. It wasn’t coming from the door though either. Hearing the scratching again, she turned around…and was surprised to see a small, black kitten scratching gently at the window.
“Oh.”
Eyes widening, she crossed the room quickly, opening the window to the tiny creature. It was so small, she thought as she reached out, gently scooping it up into her arms. “Poor thing…what are you doing at my window?” Most animals avoided them. Or at least she didn’t think too many would be interested in their apartment. Zero had explained to her that animals were generally frightened of vampires, unless already raised with one. A kitten would be able to sense that one lived in the apartment, wouldn’t it?
“You must just have been so cold you didn’t care…” Cradling it, she smiled. “I’m not so sure Zero would be happy knowing I took another cat into the house. Let alone Zero-chan for that matter.”
She couldn’t just leave it outside though…Especially after it specifically came to her window.
“He’ll just have to deal with at least tonight, right, Meow-Meow?”

Immediately upon entering the kitchen and placing his bags on the counter, a slight chill went up his spine. Pausing mid reach, Zero glanced over toward the hallway. There seemed to be a mild breeze coming from that direction. The heat had been on for weeks now since he'd been determined to keep Yuuki comfortable during her confinement. Leaving the groceries behind, Zero moved to investigate with a slight sense of dread in the pit of his stomach. Yuuki's door was open, just as it had been since he'd left. But Yuuki was nowhere in sight.
Nausea welled up inside him at the sight of the open window. Rushing to it, he took in the immediate area outside. The slight smell of vampire lingered just outside, barely discernible by even his trained senses. He didn't recognize the exact scent, but it smells mildly similar to Kaname Kuran. He knew Kuran's scent well enough by now to know it wasn't his scent. Family. He clenched his teeth firmly, anger marring his face. That other vampire that had entered the city recently that Kaname had informed him of being his uncle.
Climbing out the window, Zero landed on his feet the few inches to the ground before catching the scent of the vampire. Checking for the extra ammunition he carried on himself at all times, Zero wanted to make sure he was prepared before beginning to track the monster.
Verifying he had the proper equipment, Zero quickly followed the faint scent of his prey.
Yuuki Kidnapping
His mouth twisted into a satisfied grin, pleased that her innocence still seemed to be intact; happy that his little ploy of using the small piece of fluff as a decoy had worked so well. This was easy, child's play. The Pureblood was almost disappointed that with all the apparent safeguards her entourage had put up, they meant virtually nothing. Still, they're lack of planning benefited him, so what did he care?
There would be time later for them to correct this obvious oversight, assuming that his niece was still the girl he had thought she was, and not the boy that he had spoken to the other day.
A boy would only be of use as a meal to increase his powers. The thought of letting another son of Haruka's exist, was something that he would not tolerate. But a girl... a girl with Juri's eyes, and Juri's delicious scent... that would be absolutely perfect.
His eyes opened into slivers, the baleful red and blue colors bleeding out amongst his dark lashes. From the kitten's point of view, she was alone in the room. And having served it's purpose of getting the 'Princess' to open the way, he cast his energies on the prize inside, willing his young niece to sleep.

He looked up from the roses he was carrying in his arm as he felt Zero's presence; something was wrong. Zero was always annoyed by his mien, but not in such panicked haste.
"Kiryuu..." he called out, before realizing the source of Zero's discomfort: Rido's presence lingered in the air. His heart skipped a beat before he continued, asking the question which had the answer he dreaded most.
"...where is Yuuki?"
Yuuki Kidnapping
Huh? What's...happening to me...? She thought confused. A shudder wracked her body and goosebumps pimpled her skin. Physically she could feel as her strength abandoned her. Arms weakening, the cat within her arms loosely slipped from her grasp, landing on the floor before bolting forward.
Zero...
As her lashes fluttered closed, Yuuki was only vaguely aware of something wrapping tightly around her wrist. In a blur she tried to fight past the fog clouding her fragile mind, but it was a losing battle that had only ever had one outcome. Falling limply within the grasp of the hand holding her, she lost all consciousness. Only the lingering question of Who...? slowly faded from her mind.
Hellsing finds Yuuki and Kaname

"Count," she said coldly, turning to Alucard with a distasteful glance. "Somebody is trespassing." As any No Life King, she was fiercely protective of her domains. Any land, be of the City or London. Her body became see-through until she was no longer there and her words were carried into his mind. "We should greet the intruder."
Thus she moved, shadows and blood, everywhere and nowhere. It was not even a second of progression until she stood behind the vampire, one she recognised, as if she had always been there.

He'd never mentioned this person had ever posed a risk to Yuuki at all.
Zero himself had noticed the interest the other vampire had in Yuuki, but it had always been Zero interceding and cutting off communication between the two of them. Unless Kaname had been doing things on an encrypted line.
"I was only gone an hour," he said, reaching the older vampire's side. "What would your uncle want with her?"
Yuuki Kidnapping
He had what he wanted. And with his Pureblooded 'niece' firmly tucked under one arm, he faded once more into the night, intent on having a little personal one on one time with Yuuki.
The landscape was a blur of motion, the lights of the City fading into the background as the forest swallowed them up. It was one of the many areas that he'd explored on arriving to this new land, and it offered a nice out of the way place for them to reconnect, away from the annoyances that she kept around her.

He commanded his blood to surround him and Yuuki in defense, but before he could even finish the spell, he realized who that other presence was.
"Lady Hellsing." He called, turning to her direction, still protectively holding Yuuki in his arms.

A master and his servant had a strange bond between them. Kaname had an idea where Rido might be, but he decided to create bats from his own flesh and blood to search the City. Yuuki... Yuuki must be found as soon as possible.
"Rido is not one of reason. He will feed on anything and everything that is human or vampire. And unfortunately, with Yuuki's blood, I would not be surprised if Rido does not stop until he devours her."
no subject
Watching as Kaname produced a number of bat shaped creatures from mid-air, Zero struggled to maintain the scent as it slowly faded from the air. "One of no reason kills indiscriminately," Zero replied. "I don't think he's not entirely lacking reason or he wouldn't have just waited until the single time I leave for a week to take her. They take anyone at anytime. They don't seek out a single specific prey within a sea of potential victims. They grab the easiest accessible."
Watching as the creatures rose into the air to assist with the search, frustration marring his expression, Zero clenched his fingers tightly around Bloody Rose as he followed their path with his eyes. "This isn't just a random vampire attack."
Yuuki Kidnapping
A sudden jolt shook her. Eyes opening, she blinked several times and realized in her tired shock that she was being carried under someone's arms. Huh...? Head tilting just the slightest she peeked up out of the corner of her eyes...and felt her heart freeze.
Rido Kuran had somehow kidnapped her from within her room, and their apartment was nowhere in sight.
Panic swelled within Yuuki's chest. Swallowing the bile that rose to her throat she wanted to scream but didn't dare open her mouth. Pulse quickening in fear, she could hear her blood rush in her ears as her heartbeat began to beat wildly out of control. What do I do...? This man had mentally tormented her since his initial arrival in the city. How had he found them, what had she done wrong? Zero...
Eyes clenching closed tightly she tried to reign in her thoughts. Already she felt so tired and ill, but she couldn't concentrate on that right now. If she couldn't think up something then there wasn't a doubt in her mind that she would die. I...I need help. She didn't have Artemis and she knew that alone she didn't stand a chance. Zero had only stepped out to get groceries. He never left her at home for too long, not since she had become ill, which meant he'd quickly realize she was gone, right?
Suddenly she became aware of a weight in the pocket of her sweater. Ah! That's right... Her communicator. She'd been playing with it earlier, and had just shoved it carelessly inside when she had become too bored. Unless someone saw Rido carrying her off, then the only chase she had at communication right now was that.
Knowing what she had to do, Yuuki moved slowly. Too much movement and she would alert the vampire to her awakened state. She had to be careful. Hands inching into the front pocket, she haltingly ran her fingers across the device. She'd used it enough by now to figure out where the keys were without having to look.

She just needed to find the send button. After the initial cry for aid, she'd be able to intermittently attempt to give more details.

He kept quiet for a moment, thinking about his own longing for Yuuki's blood. Ten years, ten long years, and even Ruka's blood was not enough.
"Rido was denied such pleasure," he continued, "as the person he loved was my... mother."
There was a definite pause before he could even say the word, but he shook it off and said, "Having forsaken the satisfaction of a gnawing need, Rido had lost himself to madness, devouring everyone he could, but never drinking his fill.
"Yuuki's blood, for whatever reason, tempts us more than any other's. Even someone as insane as Rido would want to risk everything in order to fulfill his need."
It wasn't a lie, but it was definitely half-truths. Kaname hoped that would be enough for Zero as he looked toward the direction of the forest. He motioned Zero to follow as he walked... he wasn't sure why he was drawn there, but he wasn't going to waste any more time standing around talking about that Council dog.
no subject
Purebloods, they bore the threat of boredom due to living so long and had to find something they considered proper entertainment to help pass their time. Purebloods weren't prone to temptation. They were the temptation to the vampires in their world.
"You still aren't telling me the truth." Even Zero could think of a better explanation than that. "There's obviously something you aren't wanting to tell me. Since something as simple as 'He knows how important she is to me and wants revenge' is too easy a secret to pull out. At least that one would make more sense and be expected."
no subject
His smile quickly faded as one of the bats returned. So he was in the forest after all. Kaname nodded and allowed the bat to land on his hand, absorbing it as it disappeared in black smoke.
"There is one thing you should know before we find him," he said, quickening his pace towards the direction where Rido had taken Yuuki, "I had forgiven you for many things because you are the only one capable of releasing me from Rido's clutches.
"Admittedly, the timing is completely off, thanks to the City and its Deities, as you are obviously not ready to face a king. However, we have no choice but to play in this gamble, because we cannot risk Yuuki's life."
The City had weakened Kaname's powers, he knows that for certain. But had it affected Rido the same way it had affected him? Would be be able to deny Rido's commands as he did back home?
no subject
But what Kaname expected of him, if it concerned Yuuki, they both knew Zero wouldn't hesitate in doing whatever he could to achieve those goals. Kaname, he was nothing to Zero but a hindrance in his life that he was forced to deal with by circumstances beyond his control. He'd much rather have no contact with the man if he had a choice at all.
What he'd done that night, he'd done for Yuuki alone. A child so willing to give her life to save the soul of someone undeserving of it. He hadn't lost the last thread of his humanity to the monster that consumed him. She alone was the humanity he clung to, the reminder that he hadn't been completely devoured by the beast that threatened him.
"But you wouldn't trust me to unless it dealt with Yuuki..." Which to him still meant, this had more to do with Yuuki than it did with Kaname at all. Because no matter how big a favor he ever owed Kaname Kuran. The only way Zero would ever allow it to be cashed in was if it dealt with her. Meaning this course of action had to have been remotely expected to Kaname.
Yuuki Kidnapping
Out in the open as they were, it was helpful for her to be quiet as all good children were. Not that it was likely she'd be heard out in the wilderness, but it was better to not take any chances.
His attention was completely on every nuance of her body, from the swing of her hair as it hung towards the ground, to each fear laced breath that escaped that sweet mouth. So naturally, the movement of her arm to her pocket, as discreet as she was being, was not missed.
"... such a bad girl."
Dropping her to the ground with a little more force than was necessary, he pressed her body firmly into the dirt with his foot. Holding her immobile so she couldn't continue to call for help.

Finally, they found it. A small, abandoned cabin in the middle of the forest, just as the bat had shown him. Kaname had no doubts that Rido knew they had arrived, and there was nothing else to tell Zero at this point... Aside from a reminder...
"As long as Rido is alive, he will not stop trying to devour Yuuki."
There was a frown on his lips as he approached the cabin upfront. No use hiding his presence now, and his patience has gone thin. Fangs bared with eyes almost glowing in red, Kaname places a finger to his fang, breaking the skin and commanding his blood to create a scythe-like blade from his hand.
"Rido," he called in a deathly calm voice, "where is Yuuki?"
Yuuki Kidnapping
It was her best chance of finding help, and she hadn't been able to hit the send button. A few inches from her hand, it lay on the ground, outside of her reach as Rido restrained her.
Glaring up at him willfully her eyes met his in resentment.
"What do you want."
no subject
He couldn't blame himself though. If he hadn't stayed out with Lily for as long as he had, maybe he would have gotten back in time. Maybe it would have happened, no matter what he did. The important thing was getting her back.
As they neared the cabin, Zero's senses rioted to life, giving verification to the whereabouts of the pureblood that held his roommate hostage.
Yuuki Kidnapping
"Be patient. We're almost there."
Glancing along her prone form, he savored the moment. Her lifeline was so very close, and yet unreachable. How frustrating that must be~
Still, there wasn't time to sit and enjoy the scene. He still had unanswered questions. Questions that would determine much of what was to come. So with a mere glance of his mismatched eyes, her communication device shattered, too fragile for even the smallest amount of the power he directed its way.
"I don't think you'll be needing that any time soon, 'Princess'.
And reaching down, he once again latched onto her wrist, releasing her from her demeaning position in the dirt and dragging her painfully up to her feet.

After a moment, the shadows converged and Alucard stepped from them, darkness licking at the hem of his bright red Victorian coat, "Ah, such a thing. Did you?" He asked, tipping his head at Kaname. Alucard had a fond spot for Yuuki and her companion Zero, no matter if this other vampire were Integral's ally, Alucard would rip into him.

She was ready to fight to take the girl to the City General to replenish the blood she had surely lost.
Yuuki Kidnapping
My communicator... That was the only means of calling for help she had carried upon her. Watching it crushed before her eyes helped to dimension a thread of hope she was clinging to. Eyes raising, she leveled a defiant glare at him. Staring at him directly like this was difficult. His mere presence alone sent shivers down her spin, her precarious mental health wavering dangerously. If there was ever a time she refused to give in though, it was now.
"Let me go." She demanded. Artemis was left in her room, so she didn't have anything to defend herself with. All she possessed was her own will-power, and she refused to give into this monster.
no subject
Kaname calmed his senses and realized they were a safe distance away from Rido and Zero. Even still, Yuuki was not in the best of health, and he would have to break the curse Juuri had placed on her soon if he didn't want her to loose herself.
"Rido," he began, looking over to Yuuki, "unfortunately, took advantage of Yuuki when Kiryuu-kun and myself were away."
He forced his bleeding hand to regenerate and heal, thinking there was no need to use his blood as a weapon any longer. "Yuuki is very ill... she has been for a while, and there is something I must do that can not be delayed any longer."
no subject
The vampire did not move forward, though he was not concerned about any threat to himself from Kaname, it was courtesy.
no subject
"And what is that?" she interrogated, thankful Alucard could reign himself without her interference.
no subject
Kaname knew he'd have to tell them everything... almost everything, as Integra seemed very protective of Yuuki. It would be a gamble, but he needed help.
"A curse was placed upon Yuuki 10 years ago," he began, "and that curse is slowly breaking apart. Rido took her from her apartment a few hours ago, and I am not sure what he has done to her. But I do know and feel the spell placed upon her is weakening.
"If I do not awaken Yuuki to her true self, she might lose mind to insanity."
He hesitated for a moment before adding, "She and I will be very vulnerable once I begin to break the curse. Which is why I must take her some place safe."
He hoped that would be enough for Integra and Alucard to let him go. He was unsure if his apartment would be safe enough for the few hours he needed, but he'd have to risk it, as he would not allow Yuuki to fall into madness.
no subject
It was a foolish notion. One that she now understood more fully.
It didn't surprise Rido that they would come for her, but then his intention had never been to keep her. Not this time. Not yet.
Turning his attention to his captive audience, he grabbed her wrist once again. "It looks like we have company~. It'd be rude to keep them waiting, even if they weren't invited." The Pureblood rose, pulling her roughly along with him as he moved towards the door.
no subject
Guests...? She thought weakly, uncomprehendingly. Her body felt sore and her mind drugged. The pain that shot through her side as he roughly pulled her after him hurt but was beginning to feel numb by this point. Nearly limp, she was helpless to fight back as he pulled her behind him.
no subject
As much as he tried to contain his frustration, unseen winds began to wisp violently around him and Zero. In a voice seething with murderous intent, he demanded, "What have you done with her?"
Yuuki Kidnapping
"Hehhheh.... no."
Turning his attention away from her, he resolutely set off again through the woods, pulling her behind him. Either she'd walk, or he'd drag her. Either way was fine with him.
