log; ongoing; closed

When; The afternoon of January 7th.
Rating; PG
Characters; Shing Meteoryte ([livejournal.com profile] weaponofheart), Kohaku Hearts ([livejournal.com profile] heartkick), and Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear ([livejournal.com profile] imperialwill).
Summary; Upon discovering that she's here too, Shing decides to take Kohaku back to the pimp flat. For shelter, of course. :)
Log; Shing streched a little, a large smile on his face despite his efforts to try and at least not look overly excited. Though he couldn't help it, really -- Kohaku had somehow ended up in the City, too. He wasn't the only one from his world anymore. Granted, he did end up making a lot of friends during his short time between their arrivals, but it still felt good knowing that a very close friend of his was here, too.

He'd called out to everyone in the apartment that he'd be back soon, turning off the device as well to avoid any weird commotion. He'd seen the fountain in question while waiting for Natalia, and he did have a good idea of where their building was -- it really wasn't that far off at all. He hoped that Natalia would be kind enough to let her stay with them -- he did want to make sure Kohaku was safe, after all.

Though he had to admit, the thought of her possibly staying in the same room with him made him blush.

Fighting down the redness in his face, Shing walked along, passing by several shops and a few stalls before he finally arrived at the fountain where she was waiting for him.

"Kohaku?"

Kohaku had been patiently waiting by the fountain, passing the time by tinkering a bit with the strange new device she had been given while responding to any new messages she might have gotten. She wasn't concentrating too hard on it though, only fiddling to give her hands something to do as she thought about all that she had learned in the past few hours. Frankly, it felt like too much information to process at one time. But she wasn't one to give up on something before she even started, so she continued to let it sink in as she mulled over the more obvious information.

In short, Shing is the only other person she knows in the City (which is still weird; a place should have a name to call its own), and both of them didn't come out of their own free will. And there was apparently no known way out. Not exactly the most promising start, but she was sure that together they could think of something to do. Two heads were better than one, after all. And if they could get more people to help, then so much the better!

When she heard a familiar voice in the distance, she stopped what she was doing and looked around. It didn't take more than a couple of seconds to see where he was.

"Ah, Shing! Over here!" She stood up and waved an arm around to catch his attention.

Well, that was a relief! Her Soma Link wouldn't lie to her, but seeing Shing in person made her feel less anxious about this place, though she was still worried about everyone else.

"No, you didn't! And I told you didn't have to rush, okay?" she replied, lowering her arm to her side. And no, she didn't really notice the cold too much. She's used to it back home, after all. "Glad to see you're doing okay in...the City, right? I still find it odd they didn't give it a more unique name."

Vaguely, she wondered if rather than another world, this was a ship.

"We could try! But we'd definitely need to ask everyone their opinion on a name first." It just seemed a little sad to not have a more defining name to call its own. At least it was something though. She'd be more worried if they didn't even refer to the place by any sort of title.

"Oh, of course. Let's go!" Kohaku smiled and nodded once in response before starting to head towards the direction Shing gestured at. Better to talk inside than outside with weather like this.

"Well..." Kohaku paused for a moment, thinking about what she could remember from all the conversations she had since her sudden arrival at the City. "Just the basics, really. Like that time stops where we come from, there is no known exit, and people here get cursed pretty frequently."

Which was all quite alarming, but it's best to try to keep calm in such an unfamiliar situation. "Is there anything else I should know about?"

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thanks." She took the book from his hands, staring at its cover and size for a moment. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to read over. "I'll try to look through it as soon as I can."

Kohaku nodded once. "Same here. It's much easier to stay calm when someone you know is around! Even if weird things are going on."

"Well, I wouldn't mind going on another adventure." Which was true. She wanted to travel around and see more of the world now that they don't have anything important that needs to be dealt with right away. The only problem? She meant in Celirand, not this place, wherever it was.

"This isn't exactly what I had in mind though. Then again, I didn't think that we would suddenly arrive in a place like this either." Kohaku pouted a little, though she really wasn't annoyed at this new development, just rather confused.

"I think we had enough excitement back home to last us for a long time." Kohaku sighed lightly. She had been looking forward to seeing all the cities and towns at peace... And this place made her feel somewhat anxious, though for some reason she couldn't think of exactly why that was so. Hopefully that feeling wouldn't last too long.

"Well, I don't blame you. This place doesn't look like one we've ever really seen before, right?" She didn't really consciously acknowledge it, but she unconsciously squeezed his hand in return. "I'll make sure to protect you too, Shing. So don't go off and do something rash, okay?"

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-12 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good things come out of crazy things, I guess!" Which was true. If it were not for what happened, she never would have had the chance to meet everyone. By now, it would feels so...off just thinking she might not have been able to talk to those who are now very close friends.

"I'm holding you to that promise, okay?" Kohaku looked him straight in the eye. Of course, she doesn't mind him being rash all that much if it helps people, but not when it puts him in danger.

"Thanks." She smiled once, before entering first.

"All right, I will." Well, they've finally reached their destination! Kohaku looked around a bit, trying to check if anyone was around at the moment. After a couple of seconds, she concluded that no one was in the room. Even so, she better announce her presence. Just in case someone was around in the next room and was confused at the sudden arrival. "Sorry for intruding! Is anyone home?"

"My-" Natalia appeared at the sound of her voice- a very unfamiliar one. She was curious to see what sort of stranger arrived so boldly, but seeing Shing with her, she relaxed. "Why hello there."

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-16 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shing, that's rather sudden, you know!" Well, Shing wouldn't be Shing if he wasn't as blunt as a brick, but still. She turned towards Natalia, smiling somewhat sheepishly. "Sorry about visiting without asking first. And I'm Shing's friend, Kohaku Hearts. Nice to meet you....Natalia, right?"

[identity profile] imperialwill.livejournal.com 2010-01-16 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Correct. It isn't a problem at all, Kohaku. It's a pleasure to meet a friend of Shing's." She smiled politely, noting how cute and pretty the girl was. "Will you be staying with us?"

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-18 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Same here. A friend of Shing's is a friend of mine." And she trusted his judgment of people, so if he thought it was okay here with these people, then it was fine with her, too. "Ah, only if you don't mind, of course."

[identity profile] imperialwill.livejournal.com 2010-01-18 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I don't mind at all!" Natalia gestured around her. "You're free to stay as long as you like. And if you need a job, I'd be happy to assist you in that endeavor as well."

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-19 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Thank you again! And yes, that would be a big help. I'm not sure how long we'll be here after all." She then patiently waited for Natalia to answer Shing's question first.

[identity profile] imperialwill.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Well- what about with you, Shing?" Natalia tilted her head, not seeing the problem at all with that sort of arrangement. After all, she was rooming with Luke herself. And Colette with Lloyd.

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Don't worry, I have no problems with it." Kohaku nodded once. It's not like Shing wasn't someone she knew, so she didn't mind at all. And plus, he wouldn't do anything bad. And if he did, she always had that deadly kick.

[identity profile] imperialwill.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Very well, then. I welcome you to our apartment, Kohaku. Oh- perhaps I should create some sort of welcome dinner-" To avoid any sort of protest, Natalia quickly zipped out to the kitchen in order to start her preparations.

[identity profile] heartkick.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks. Glad you're here too." It makes things so much easier to deal with.

"...Um, she can't be all that bad?" Kohaku cocked her head to one side, looking a little confused. After all, it should be fine as long as the recipe is followed, right?
