log; ongoing; closed
When; The afternoon of January 7th.
Rating; PG
Characters; Shing Meteoryte (
weaponofheart), Kohaku Hearts (
heartkick), and Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear (
imperialwill).
Summary; Upon discovering that she's here too, Shing decides to take Kohaku back to the pimp flat. For shelter, of course. :)
Log; Shing streched a little, a large smile on his face despite his efforts to try and at least not look overly excited. Though he couldn't help it, really -- Kohaku had somehow ended up in the City, too. He wasn't the only one from his world anymore. Granted, he did end up making a lot of friends during his short time between their arrivals, but it still felt good knowing that a very close friend of his was here, too.
He'd called out to everyone in the apartment that he'd be back soon, turning off the device as well to avoid any weird commotion. He'd seen the fountain in question while waiting for Natalia, and he did have a good idea of where their building was -- it really wasn't that far off at all. He hoped that Natalia would be kind enough to let her stay with them -- he did want to make sure Kohaku was safe, after all.
Though he had to admit, the thought of her possibly staying in the same room with him made him blush.
Fighting down the redness in his face, Shing walked along, passing by several shops and a few stalls before he finally arrived at the fountain where she was waiting for him.

"Kohaku?"

In short, Shing is the only other person she knows in the City (which is still weird; a place should have a name to call its own), and both of them didn't come out of their own free will. And there was apparently no known way out. Not exactly the most promising start, but she was sure that together they could think of something to do. Two heads were better than one, after all. And if they could get more people to help, then so much the better!
When she heard a familiar voice in the distance, she stopped what she was doing and looked around. It didn't take more than a couple of seconds to see where he was.
"Ah, Shing! Over here!" She stood up and waved an arm around to catch his attention.

He'd made sure to bring the City guide he'd gotten from Hiyori (http://somekindofsin.livejournal.com/20572.html) with him, though considering she was still dressed like she always was he wondered if he should've gotten her a coat while he was at it. Not that he minded, though -- it just showed off how beautiful Kohaku was. It would've been bad if she'd gotten sick.
He smiled speeishly, rubbing the back of his head. "I... I didn't make you wait so long, did I?"
no subject
"No, you didn't! And I told you didn't have to rush, okay?" she replied, lowering her arm to her side. And no, she didn't really notice the cold too much. She's used to it back home, after all. "Glad to see you're doing okay in...the City, right? I still find it odd they didn't give it a more unique name."
Vaguely, she wondered if rather than another world, this was a ship.
no subject
"Yeah... maybe we could try to give it a nicer name someday?" He'd agreed with her statement -- he recalled having a similar convesation with Luke a week or so back about the lack of a good name for this City, as well.
Of course, that would have to wait until later. Preferably when they weren't out in the cold and after they'd settled in. "Anyway, the apartment I'm staying in is over in that direction." He gestured towards Bulding 1, holding out a hand. "Shall we, Kohaku?"
no subject
"Oh, of course. Let's go!" Kohaku smiled and nodded once in response before starting to head towards the direction Shing gestured at. Better to talk inside than outside with weather like this.

He walked in step alongside Kohaku, looking at her curiously. "So, how much about this place have you been told, other than what I mentioned over the boxes?"
no subject
Which was all quite alarming, but it's best to try to keep calm in such an unfamiliar situation. "Is there anything else I should know about?"
no subject
There's another sigh here. "Still, I feel better knowing that you're here with me, Kohaku. Really, I do."
no subject
Kohaku nodded once. "Same here. It's much easier to stay calm when someone you know is around! Even if weird things are going on."
no subject
"Yeah..." He sighed, smiling a little as he spotted Building 1 getting closer the farther they walked. "It's actually kinda exciting, in a way... it's like another adventure, you know?"
no subject
"This isn't exactly what I had in mind though. Then again, I didn't think that we would suddenly arrive in a place like this either." Kohaku pouted a little, though she really wasn't annoyed at this new development, just rather confused.
no subject
"I'm still worried about this place... no one knows how to leave, or just what to expect here, too." He sighed, unconsciously taking Kohaku's hand and gripping it gently. "Don't worry, though... I'll make sure to protect you while we're stuck here, Kohaku."
no subject
"Well, I don't blame you. This place doesn't look like one we've ever really seen before, right?" She didn't really consciously acknowledge it, but she unconsciously squeezed his hand in return. "I'll make sure to protect you too, Shing. So don't go off and do something rash, okay?"
no subject
He sighed. "I'll try not to, Kohaku... I promise." Besides, much of the stupid things he did were for Kohaku's sake, now that one were to think about it... though knowing him, he'd probably end up doing something stupid if it meant that it'd help someone.
Looking forward, he blinked -- that was fast. "Ah, we're here!" He let go of Kohaku's hand, running up and holding the door open. "After you!"
no subject
"I'm holding you to that promise, okay?" Kohaku looked him straight in the eye. Of course, she doesn't mind him being rash all that much if it helps people, but not when it puts him in danger.
"Thanks." She smiled once, before entering first.
no subject
He laughed a little at that. "Yeah... don't worry, I'll make sure to keep it as best I can, okay, Kohaku?" Shing blinked, nodding at her determinedly as he returned that look in her eye. He really didn't want to end up making her worry so much now that she was here.

"Hey, Natalia..." Shing replied, sighing a little and looking around in thought. He smiled at her, gesturing towards Kohaku. "I... I know this is sudden, but this is Kohaku. She's one of my friends back home... and I wanted to ask if it was okay for her to stay with us?"

"I... I don't have any problems with that, as long as Kohaku doesn't mind..."

He blinked, turning towards Natalia. "Ah--! You really don't..." Whatever else he had planned to say was cut off as she zipped off. He sighed. "...auu. I hope she cooks something edible this time..."
no subject
"...Um, she can't be all that bad?" Kohaku cocked her head to one side, looking a little confused. After all, it should be fine as long as the recipe is followed, right?
