Le Baiser de Vie is unlike any other establishment in the City and that is it's appeal. The bar caters to those who wish to walk a bit on the edge of things. It allows them to taste danger without ever really being in danger. The front door has a beefy guard that admits entrance and directs the customer to an inner room. In that room the customers will find a a table and comfortable chair. On the table sits a device. You see, Le Baiser de Vie has no cover charge and the drinks are quite reasonably priced. However, each and every customer--VIPS are exempt, although they often pay their cover directly to the bar owner--must donate a pint of blood to gain admittance.

Once inside the bar, it is decorated almost stereotypically Gothic. The dark wooden walls are resplendent with carvings and draped with heavy, dark, red, velvet cloth. The wooden floors are stained a dark color and there are a variety of posh, dark rugs scattered over the entire place. Seating runs toward padded chairs, small tables, couches and even a wing chair or two. There is a massive fireplace with a fire roaring in it. The drinks are served in silver, ornately carved goblets. Absinthe is readily available as are a variety of wines and other liquors.

The piece de resistance of the bar is the stage. It sits high above the rest of the bar demanding attention. On it customers will find a variety of entertainment from dancing to singing to instrumental performances.

As for the employees, they are quite a mix. There are humans, more than humans and vampires--kept well in check of course. Have fun and flirt with danger. After all, that is what you're here for, isn't it?

Tonight is a special evening. The Host has a very special show planned for the stage. There will be dancing and of course singing.

Myrnin is in a fine mood tonight. He's anticipating the show and as a result he circulates a bit more, smiles widely with fangs and gesticulates while he speaks. His hair is a bit wild and his clothing a bit more mismatched. He's wearing a white and gold admiral's jacket, bright red britches that end just below his knee and a dark blue vest with his white, ruffled shirt. He has the shoes with buckles on again.

He talks excitedly with everyone, pauses to inquire about their evening and sips at a concoction of whiskey and blood. It won't get him drunk but he likes the way it tastes.

Countess (and Sir) Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing was a woman with peculiar tastes. She had kept her family name without becoming Integral Fairbrook Wingates Dracula née Hellsing upon marriage with the good Count but also seized his title. Her husband, who was sometimes mistaken as a member of her personnel, was very accommodating for her whims. Including crossdressing and lingering in dangerous places like this. As an agent of the British Empire, she reported the misgivings of other countries and she was addicted to seemly dangerous places.

Certainly, that wouldn't do for the legal guardian of a ward. Public opinion wouldn't matter if wasn't for Yuuki. Therefore, to avoid society's judging eye, Integra masked herself as a young aristocrat. Gnashing the cigar with her teeth, she strolled within the establishment with a tailored dark suit, a matching waistcoat and top hat. After scanning the dramatic surroundings, she was in mood for brandy.

Myrnin catches sight of the Countess Wingates as she walks in the door. He wraps up his conversation, gives the woman a light kiss on the neck and then makes his way toward the Countess. He approaches her with a smile, holding his hand out for hers.

"Countess, it is a pleasure to see you tonight."

Integra flinches, looking sideways to see if anyone noticed how she has been just addressed. She roughly takes his hand ready to give a firm handshake as greeting to keep up with the elaborate scheme of concealing her identity.

"Sir Abraham," Integra insists, "Call me Abraham tonight."

Myrnin's eyebrows rise and then he nods as he shakes her hand firmly. He understands the Countess' oddities and tries to tolerate them as much as her family does.

"Of course. How could I have mistaken. I'm pleased to see you with us tonight, Sir Abraham."

"Indeed," Integra answers with a hoarse voice. Her real voice is already naturally deeper, but she strains it more to be more masculine. After the gentlemanly handshake, she takes her top hap, her long hair is tied with a black ribbon at the back. "Thank you for the welcome, Lord Myrnin. You're a gracious host."

Max is working the door tonight, making sure that there's no trouble with people paying the fee. She's not quite sure what the show tonight will involve, aside from singing and dancing, but counts herself lucky that she'll be able to witness it.

"Of course," Myrninsays with a nod. "Can I get you something to drink?"

"Brandy," Integra answers, glancing towards the bar. "How are you faring?"
