Log;

After a day of avoiding opening his mouth and speaking to anyone, Kira was becoming restless. His side of the apartment was surprisingly quiet, given the number of other Shinigami who also occupied it now. He was fairly certain Hinamori -- the main reason he had been keeping to himself -- had left for the evening, so he finally decided to venture out for his room for the second time today. As he did, he made a thoughtful humming noise and had to pause and remind himself why he heard his captain's voice instead of his own. He turned the concept over in his head.. For such a simple curse, he had a hard time wrapping his mind around it, to the point that curiosity was slowly getting the better of him. An idea crept its way into his mind, but he shook his head; far too silly and juvenile and not like him at all.

No, not at all.

He spared a glance at the bathroom. With the door cracked open, he could see the mirror.

Juvenile, silly, not something someone like Vice Captain Kira Izuru would do. No matter how curious.

Curious.

Really... really curious.

Kira sighed, again pausing at the sound of Ichimaru's voice, and made his way into the bathroom. He looked at the mirror. Same face, same eyes, same hair, same person. He peered out into the common area from where he was to make sure the coast was clear before taking a deep breath and speaking.

"Uh.. hi." He said dumbly, staring at his reflection the whole time, watching as his mouth moved and someone else's voice came out. It didn't quite sound like Ichimaru-taichou, though. Even with the same voice, they spoke so differently...

He cleared his throat, concentrated on the memory of all the times his captain had spoke to him, took his accent into consideration, and then tried again.

"I~zu~ru~" It made him jump a little, even made the hair rise on the back of his neck. This was... Perhaps the most bizarre thing he had done or seen. He checked over his shoulder to make sure no one was secretly watching him, before turning back to the mirror. This time, he let his hand rest on the hilt of Wabisuke and began to let the hint of a smile cross his face, but decided it was a bit much and dropped it. He watched himself for a moment longer before lowering his voice. "Ikorose, Shinsou."

Hinamori had been glad for the distraction Hitsugaya had offered. Very glad. It was bad enough hearing Ichimaru speak when it was Ichimaru. When it was Kira? It was just plain wrong. So the first chance she'd gotten she'd left. But of course, she had to go back. Had to face the rather large number of Shinigami that had wound up in the City. Had to skirt past Kira sounding like Ichimaru.

It could be worse. He could have switched with Aizen. Hinamori wasn't sure if it would have been creepier or just.. odd, if it had turned out that way. But it wouldn't have scared her half as much, of that she was sure.

She took a deep breath as she pushed open the main door, glancing from side to side of the now rediculously huge apartment. If Abarai knocked down one more wall... Well, she'd deal with that later. For now she was more concerned with getting back to her room before anyone stopped her.

At least, she would have. But Hinamori heard the all too familiar voice of one of her least favourite shinigami and froze. Ichimaru had come to fight them? No.. it was far too quiet for that. Hinamori racked her mind, trying to figure out quite what Ichimaru would be doing there, before remembered the curse day and her initial fright from the morning. Kira. Which meant that it was Kira speaking. In the bathroom. Just like Ichimaru. She shuddered at the thought alone, but took another deep breath to steel herself. "Um... Kira-kun? Is that you?" Nervously, the small shinigami knocked on the bathroom door, doing her best not to look. After all, if it wasn't Kira... Well, Hinamori wasn't sure what she'd do. But freaking out was pretty high on her list at the moment.

At the sound of her voice, Kira nearly jumped out of his own skin.

"N-no! Yes! I mean -- That's! S... sort of."

Kira mentally kicked himself. Hard. How had he not noticed her reiatsu when she came back? Worse, how was he supposed to explain this? He pushed the door open, not knowing what to make of the whole situation, almost doing a double take when he swore he heard Wabisuke say, "Nice going, dumbass." before continuing to speak, too surprised to be aware of the fact that he still sounded just Ichimaru-taichou. "I, uh... Thought you had gone out, and, uh..." He motioned helplessly at the mirror, mortified.

"Er... right. I did.. but now I'm, um, back." Hinamori wasn't sure if Tobiume was doing her best not to laugh or not to scream. And she wasn't sure she knew which one to do either. It was just so wrong, and she was actually afraid that she was sure she'd walked in on him.. practicing. Not that.. Would he? Her mind couldn't quite comprehend Kira actually enjoying having his ex-captain's voice and.. trying to sound even more like him.

"..I'm sorry. I'll just... You know. Go now." She frowned, watching him for a second before turning away. It was creepy, it was odd, it was wrong, and it was... creepy. The frown deepened as she forced herself to move away from Kira and his all-too creepy voice and to the relative safety of her room.

"It's.. not what it looked like..." He called after her, weakly. Just what did it look like, anyway? "Hinamori--" He watched her close her door behind her and sighed. Just his luck. He gave the mirror an indignant look and headed out into the common area, and finally out of the apartment. He needed a drink.
