Treasure Hunt! [Ongoing: OPEN]

When; Shortly after this post.
Rating; PG for now
Characters; [livejournal.com profile] askagainplz, [livejournal.com profile] harassmentgirl, whoever else shows up.
Summary; Aska and Alice go treasure hunting on the beach!
Log; It was a beach, so there had to be treasure.

Aska was convinced of this as she walked to the beach, looking around for signs of the girl who said she'd help her look. Okay, maybe the long, flowing clothes she was wearing weren't the best for digging, but she didn't have much choice. That and she had no qualms about getting said clothes dirty (when did she ever?).

She reached the place where the sand started to converge on the land, deciding to wait there. She slipped off her shoes, tucking them in her sleeve and waiting for Alice.

Alice had never been treasure hunting before and wasn't entirely convinced that they would find anything on the beach but the idea of finding something good urged her on anyway. Bundled up in a winter coat and the same scarf Break tried to choke her with in Chesire's realm, she made her way to the beach. She saw a girl in quite, um, eccentric clothing, and went ahead to assume it was Aska. When she saw only the one girl, she was a bit startled. Did she say 'we'? "Ah. There's only you?"

And Alice just...stared. She clearly said 'us' and 'we', but there was only just the one? The rabbit didn't understand the concept of referring to oneself in third person, let alone in a plural form. Rather than continue what seemed like pointless questioning, though, Alice wrote the girl off as crazy and went about her merry little way. "Right. Well, where should we start digging?" she said, pulling a small garden shovel she stole from the apartment out of her pocket.

No one needed to remind her she was one huge worrywart, alright?? Truth be told, the moment she'd heard Alice and Aska would be in this treasure hunt project together, Umi's soul had felt at ease... Until she remembered both girls had their tempers and the biggest beach experience Umi knew for her fellow fighter to have had involved eating shells.

Nope. Not letting go of that one anytime soon.

Next thing the Water Knight knew, he'd thrown on some sporty gear and ventured to the beach tracking the GPS feature in Aska's communicator. It was a big sister's responsibility to keep an eye on the youngest member of their household, after all.

...And there you had those two. Umi heaved a sigh, the sea breeze toying with her hair as she approached the pair. Looking like they were lost already. She hadn't decided on this too soon. "Um. Hi! Seems to me like you girls could use a waterwoman."

Or waterman? Whatever. If anyone knew her way around large shoreline expanses, that was her.

Waving back a bit sheepishly, Umi kicked off her shoes and, not bothered by the cold in the least, stepped closer to where the tide washed over the shore. "No beaches? Meaning no sea?? Or just a rocky shoreline?"

Because she'd had a hard time imagining what it'd be like to never have seen the ocean, in Alice's case. Thinking Aska might be in the same situation just astounded her. "Um. What about digging closer to the dry part? Makes sense for something to be buried there."

Though this was the Princess' treasure hunt. Umi was more than happy to follow Aska's own hunches.

Alice looked at Aska's feet in the sane and watched as Umi did the same. Why did they do that? Didn't it feel weird? Alice looked down at her protected feet and stared at them for a good long minute, before deciding to take the shoes off and step into the sand bare footed. It felt...weird. And pokey. And her feet sunk into the sand, which threw off her balance. She walked awkwardly over to where the other two were, her face not necessarily that of displeasure but definitely disgruntled. The sand gave a very strange feeling, indeed. "I don't care where we dig, just don't go too far."
