Log // Ongoing // Closed
When; Tuesday, March 23rd, 6:00 P.M. I'm...reeeeally slow.
Rating; P...G? I suck with ratings, guys, give me a break.
Characters; Chris Skelton, Penny Has-No-Last-Name-And-If-There's-A-Sequel-They-Had-Better-Rectify-That-Somehow
Summary; Chris asked Penny out on a date to the Lux! Awww? It's the only place he sort of KNOWS, and really, they should be going to the Blue Light, but....awkwardness, hurrah?
Log; It was a bit fancier here than Chris remembered vaguely from the curse. If he knew any pubs, he might have rathered...but no backing off from it now. Finally, that whole Master business was, if not solved, at least done with and the concept of distraction was very welcome to him. He hovered around the outside of the building, waiting for Penny to arrive. He'd checked inside already and now, well. Penny would be here soonish, right?

I have a last name for her! I just... you know, the minute I use it, Joss will give her one.
She was slightly late. Hopefully Chris wouldn't be upset. Penny saw him just outside of the Lux and waved him down. "Chris! Hey!"
Well, exactly! That's the issue! And pardon me, there's two of us so I'll just post to the thread

Not that Chris was wearing anything all that much better. He didn't have dress clothes here. At least they matched in coming straight from work?

"I think there's some sort of floor show later on, or at least, there was one last I came so I dunno if it's still 'ere. S'pose everyone'd be really posh for that, though, so it's probably best we're early, yeah?" He smiled at Penny. "I can go an' fetch you a drink, if y'like."

"We can always hang out and see what happens... make a break for it if it gets too fancy." He really was adorable. No one had ever offered to fetch a drink for her before. Penny glanced at the drink menu on the table, realized how long it had been since she'd had anything to drink at a bar and how little she knew about the drinks listed, and replied, "I'd like that... I mean, if it's no trouble."

"No trouble," said Chris, pushing back his jacket to jam his hands a little bit self-consciously into his pockets. "Y'don't....have any preferences?"
no subject
Penny glanced from the menu to Chris and gave up trying to remember what drinks she liked. "Nope! Just whatever you think is good... and whatever isn't too expensive."
no subject
"Alright..." said Chris, looking a little bit worried before he walked away toward the bar. He was hesitant to try Pernod on an American but his knowledge of bird-drinks wasn't all that varied and he still wasn't certain whose advice he wanted to take. Even though it wasn't Sam, it really wasn't, he was still feeling oddly betrayed...
He ended up returning to the table with a pint of bitter for himself and a shandy for Penny, which he placed in front of her hesitantly. "Not that it's rel... related right now but do you like licorice? Only I've met loads of Americans who hate it."
no subject
She looked at him quizzically. "I definitely don't hate it. Is licorice a big thing where you're from?"
