Doumeki picked his coat from the closet, tugging it on as he waited for Hanna to appear. He could sort of understand why he might've thought Doumeki was a bit creepy...it wasn't like he did a lot of talking. Especially next to someone like Watanuki. But maybe this would work.

Hanna seemed to appear out of nowhere, wearing a coat about 2 sizes too big and far to old to be of any use anymore.
Despite this, he's got a big grin on his face, and he waves at Doumeki.

"Hey!"

Doumeki lifts a hand as well in greeting. "Ready?"

Hanna nods and wraps his coat around him tighter.

"Yeah! Where exactly are we going, anyway?"

Right, stepping out into the hall now, and locking the door behind them. "My flower shop."

Hanna blinks and seems to stop, staring at Doumeki.

"You have a flower shop?"

He blinks again, and shrugs, smiling a bit before following Doumeki. "Cool!"

"Yeah. It's called Ajisai." Hey, at least it's a nice day out, despite the falling pictures.

"Neat! Is business any good?"

Hanna smiled and followed him outside, staring up at the sky where photos continued to fall.

"It's enough to keep it open and pay for room and board." Doumeki bats off a photo that lands on his head. "...I didn't think to bring an umbrella."

Hanna just laughs and swats away a few of the falling photos, skipping along slightly.

"Aw, they're just photos. Could be a lot worse."

His smile seems to grow a bit as he walks along.

"Cool, though. I never thought you'd sell flowers. Must be nice, having a normal job."

Hanna had a point. There had been times when it had been a lot worse. "True." He sticks his hands in his pockets as he walks. "It is, in this place."

"No, I mean having a normal job at all. It's nice, right?"

He seems a bit wistful as he says this, but if something is wrong, he does his best to mask it with a smile and a slight skip to his step.

Doumeki's eyebrow quirks upwards slightly at that. "Some people hate it." He pauses, for a moment. "But if you want to find out for yourself, I could use some extra help."

Hanna blinked and stared a bit. He'd never done well in a normal job, and here Doumeki was, offering him one....

"Ah...well...yeah! Yeah, I'd love to help out!"

His grin seemed to intensify. He could have a normal job! He could do something normal for once! He'd never be completely normal...but this was a step in the right direction...

"Great." However horribly Hanna had performed previously in a normal job, he could mess up nearly as much as some of his other employees, and Doumeki still kept them around. "You can start on Monday, then."

Doumeki does stop, however, at the crepes cart on the way there. "Do you want a crepe?"

Hanna jumped up a bit, nodding. He hadn't eaten yet, so he was a bit hungry...

"Yes, please! I'm starving!"

Today is just getting better and better. First, finding those photos from home, now this!

"Which one do you want?" Doumeki asks. They're Japanese crepes, so he's ordering one with custard and bananas.

Hanna stares, frowning and biting his lip before nodding and pointing at a number or random, sweet ingredients, including strawberries and custard.

Once it's made, he hands it off to Hanna before paying for it, and continuing on. Yay portable food! And passing Hanna a napkin in foresight XD

Hanna smiles and thanks Doumeki before digging in, making sure he had his napkin properly prepared.

"Thanks again, for everything. I know it's a big weird having another roomie around, but it's still a big deal. And I'm sorry I called you creepy."

"Don't worry about it." Doumeki's digging in himself--they're near the fountain, now. "It's not that weird."

"Still, I of all people should know about weird. So that was mega uncool of me."

"'You of all people'?"

"Well, dealing with the paranormal all the time, you see how weird weird can be..."

He shrugs and smiles.

"Ah well. Doesn't matter."

Doumeki pauses to consider this. "What sort of paranormal things?"

"Oh, the usual. Vampires, werewolves...I was fighting a ghost when I got here, actually!!"

Well, Doumeki's never personally had a run in (yet) with the two former, but the latter he knows about. "These are a usual thing in your world?"

"Uh huh!"

He grins and nods, as if it's the most common thing in the world.

"Alright." Hey, it doesn't phase Doumeki. However, he does blink as another photo lands in his crepe. He plucks it out, looking at it for half a second, before shoving it in his pocket. Between that split second there's maybe a small crease between his brows, but then it smooths out again. Whatever it was, it's already hidden. "Do you have a problem with them a lot?"

Hanna shrugs and shakes his head.

"It all depends on the individual..."

He smiles.

"One of my friends is a vampire. So I know they're not all completely awful."
