Summary; Tyr wanted to go fishing alone, but Meredy got her way in the end and now they're all going fishing together.
Log; [Meredy's pretty much running towards the beach to meet up with Riou and Tyr. The day before hadn't been the best day ever, but they'd definitely make up for it today!

She'd be sure of it.

Finally the beach is in sight and she slows down a bit, but not by much. With her momentum, she may just crash into someone.]

[ Even if it wasn't exactly how he wanted to spend the day - not with Meredy and Riou around, at least - but Tyr's determined not to drag down everyone else's mood. He could practically hear Viktor telling him, "Don't look so morose!"

...So he looks entirely neutral instead.

Fishing rod in hand, Tyr walks alongside Riou to the place he decided he would fish the first week they arrived. The place isn't any different than other spots on the beach, but it's the consistency that matters.

You'd think he would hear someone running down to the beach, but by the time he turns around to see, it's too late. Tyr stumbles backwards. ]

--Meredy?!

[ Meredy! - er, that is, Riou is taken by surprise as well but after that initial crash - haha - Riou ends up grinning widely. Threesome complete! ]

Meredy!

[ And really, seeing Tyr taken back like that was a sight to see. 8'D ]

[Meredy latches on when she crashes into Tyr, smiling happily even though she totally just ran headlong into someone. She's got some sort of immunity to pain from bodyslamming people or something.]

Meredy did not keep Teer and Reeo waiting long, right?

[Lets go of Tyr and leans back on her heels to smile brightly at them. She doesn't seem at all worried about a repeat of yesterday.]

[ Tyr just sort of freezes when he regains his balance. Once she lets go, he reclaims his personal space by a few steps and shakes his head. ]

No, not at all. We just arrived now.

[ And he wonders how long they're all going to stay here. ]

[ Riou nods at this. See icon. ]

That's right.

[ ...we're going to stay until we catch some fish, of course. :| ]

That is good!

[You may have regained your personal space for now Tyr, but just wait B) She'll do it again. Personal space does not exist when Meredy's involved.]

Teer and Reeo can teach Meredy fishing!

[ It is, admittedly, hard to stay gloomy-looking around Meredy and Riou. They exude glee. He sounds a bit more hopeful. ]

Right. It's actually really fun once you get the hang of it. [ Starts back in the direct they were headed. ] Let's go. This place over here is a nice fishing spot.

[ Really fun? Are you kidding me? But instead of saying something, Riou just laughs lightly - yeah, that oughta hide the uuuuh look on his face! - and followssss ]

It's nice?

[ pause ]

How do you know?

[/really curious. They look the same really... ]

[She just follows after them unquestioningly, all happy and stuff and looking out at the water.]

Teer must like fishing lots if you have favorite place!

[ Don't question Tyr's tastes, Riou. :< Tyr just thinks you're in surprisingly good spirits. ]

I can just tell. We're sure to catch a lot of fish there today. [ And he turns to Meredy. ] I do! It's my hobby.

[ He knows you're good, Tyr. HE BELIEVES IN YOU! COURAGE IS THE MAGI-- ... wrong account. Anyway. Yeah, Tyr. ♥

Wait... we are? We never even caught one fish back in the Suikoworld... ]

If we catch fish, we'll eat it! [ cook it first... ]

Tyr was fishing when I met him too...

[She's... Not quite listening anymore. In fact, she's trotted off towards the water and is now kicking her feet through - getting her shoes and tights wet as well.]

Meredy excited to help catch fish!

[...Yeah. She looks like she's having more fun in the water instead of the idea of fishing.]

[ Tyr doesn't realise this until she's already ran off, and he instinctively walks a bit faster to catch up with her. ]

But you'll scare them away if you do that!

[ Not that they'd catch any fish either way. ]

[ Hey, maybe Meredy's trying to CATCH THEM BARE HANDED? ]

Ahaha... maybe they'll get scared into our rod?

[ /logic, what is it? ]

[Maybe she's just that cool. But probably not. She doesn't look like she's trying to catch anything.

But now she feels kind of bad and scurries out of the water.]

Oh-! Meredy is sorry.

[ Cooooming up to the shore where Meredy is. If she was gonna catch fish barehanded, that would have been awesome. But :(.

He brings his bag of fishing supplies forward and goes through it. Everything is in order. ]

It's all right... Here, want me to show you how to fish now?

[ Riou thinks... so Tyr is going to show himself sitting in one place while holding a rod now- but instead of mumbling about it, Riou just smiles innocently and grabs himself a nice spot beside Tyr. Yep, gonna be a long time.

All fishing sessions with Tyr was like that. Nice. Peaceful. Relaxing.

Uneventful.

Boring. ]

We bought food, right?

[ Food will make it right. ]

[Meredy sits down next to them, looking down at the water again. She really wants to play in it, but if makes fishing harder, then she'll refrain.

For now.]

[ If only Tyr knew their true feelings on fishing. He's a little happy right now just for the fact Meredy doesn't already find it painfully dull.

He starts the lesson by bringing out his jar of rather questionable-looking bait, but before he can explain the wonders of it, he turns to Riou. ]

Food? [ Pause. ] I didn't bring any.

[ He opens the jar and continues hopefully: ] But with these, we'll catch a lot of fish anyway.

[ Riou is kind of skeptical... but maybe the worms will be tasty too? Maybe. ]

Okay...

[ he hopes the fishes will come B| ]

[Meredy peers into the jar, blinking wide eyes at the critters inside.]

What is that?

[ He's proud of his secret stash. He fishes out a long worm that's still moving a little. ]

It's bait so the fish with bite the hook. [ He grabs his rod and skewers the worm onto the hook. ] Like this. Then you cast it...

[ He's not a very good teacher. He just gets his pole into position and casts the lure far into the water. Out of the way of any two friends who might want to go play and not get a hook to the foot. ]

... Now we wait for them to bite.

[ Riou leans close to Meredy and whisper. ]

The fish take a while to bite.

[ A long time. Forever. :; ]

Ohh. Meredy will wait.

[She crouches by the water, looking into intently to see if she can see any fish. She seems pretty occupied by simply watching.]

How will Teer know if you catch fish?

[ He pauses to think. ] I'm pretty sure you feel a tug at the sting, and then you have to reel it in.

[ Pauses again. ] Usually it's garbage that you end up catching, though...

[ He's very ho-hum about all this. ]
