For once, Flynn Scifo wasn't in his full armor. It hadn't been an easy habit to kick off, but the duration of his stay at the City had helped some.

In all honesty, he hadn't exactly kicked off the habit really. Just that for the sake of pleasing Lady Euphemia, Euphie, he'd opted for casual clothes today as he followed the pink-haired princess around for a day of grocery shopping. His arms were full with several paper bags of foodstuff and other things when he stopped to turn to Euphemia.

"Are we missing anything from the list?"

She smiles at the blond haired boy beside her. "There was a special tea I wanted to get for Lelouch, but I can do that later. Those look heavy."

Flynn shook his head. "It's nothing. I can carry some more." He adjusted the way he was carrying the plastic bags, and then smiled at the princess. He wasn't lying, of course. He was used to carrying out his tasks as an Imperial Knight with all that armor, after all, and without that weight he usually carried around this was nothing.

"Please don't worry... Euphie," he paused in the middle of that, if only to mentally remind himself to not say "Lady Euphemia". It was a little bit easier than ridding himself of the habit of calling Estellise "Lady Estellise", but it was only achieved after reminding himself so many times. It helped that it seemed to make Euphemia sad that he couldn't, for a while.

Despite that small achievement, though, his eyes momentarily avoided Euphemia's the moment he said the nickname (Yuri was going to laugh him off to next week).

"All right then. If you're sure." She smiles brightly at him, finding the change in outfit and name to be so very sweet. Of course she wanted him to be comfortable more than anything, so she wonders if she should never have mentioned anything.

"It was so kind of you to come with me. I really enjoy the company." And it had been awhile since she had gotten to spend much time with just Flynn.

It was the least that I could do. I don't mind being of service. These were the first things that popped in the young Commandant's mind, but he settled for a another shake of his head and a warm smile.

"It's nothing," he began and then added, "I'm glad that you enjoy it..."

He trailed away then, unsure of what to say afterwards. There was tea but...

She looks at him curiously, feeling like he wanted to say more just now. "I hope you're not uncomfortable, Flynn."

"No, not at all."

He looked concerned for a moment and asked quietly. "Do I appear uncomfortable?"

"I think maybe you are more comfortable in your uniform. I feel that way sometimes. Like I'm more at home in a more formal dress."

"I suppose so. Just like Yuri's embraced the free life, I might have embraced the way of the knights willingly..." He shook his head with an apologetic smile. "Of course, it would be like that. As a knight, I can work towards a better future... but that's- I'm afraid I've begun to babble."
