Summary; Rido and SHODAN go on a date.
Log;
SHODAN was ready for this trip into the Underground. She had heard stories of monsters, but during the riot curse she had stumbled too close to the place and encountered some of the more unsavory sentients that were fighting about the area. Resolving not to go back until she could properly defend herself, she huddled near her mainframe at City Solutions until she replicated some of the basic self-defense technology in the area and amplified it. Now, she strode down into the tunnels looking remarkably well dressed -- but armed despite her appearance.
She wore the same low-cut shirt and black pants that she had shown in the video post, but with some dark shoes she could actually move in. Her hands were covered with short, delicate-looking gloves -- that charged at her will with a powerful electric shock ranging from "cause pain" to "shut down heart" depending on their setting. Under her belt, resting against either hip, was a vibroblade that should cut through the face of just about any beast that would come her way. Some of the more armored ones would be difficult, but she shouldn't be going that far.
The bat fluttered ahead, and she kept a scan going to make sure it was always in her field of view. Why a bat? Curious taste in pets. Nocturnal, tended to hibernate...well, she had heard of stranger occurrences.
Why was she even doing this? Rido has seemed such a...human, before. Whether or not he claimed greatness, he had a twinge of the immature ignorance that rankled her to no end. But today...she couldn't shake the strange sensations that drove her to find him. What was this? And why didn't she care as much as she knew she should?

It wasn't home, but it was the best that this place could give him.
The vampire's eyes closed and he tilted his head, feeling the leathery flapping of wings of his little 'bat' as it neared. SHODAN's sudden interest in him had come as a bit of a surprise, especially with how their previous conversation had gone. But then, women were often prone to contradicting themselves, changing their minds at the drop of a hat. It mattered little to Rido what she truly wanted, as everything paled in comparison to his own desires.
His humoring her little bid to spend time with him was trivial. Just something to pass the time until he could play his hand at the game he'd set up for his entertainment. But if he had to admit it, he was curious about her. She presented herself as a commanding figure with a willfulness that would normally demand respect. But Rido saw no reason to grant her that courtesy. Especially when she insisted on being so overly familiar with him. The corner of his mouth quirked in amusement at the thought. Did she really want to see what would come of going down that path~?
Chuckling softly under his breath, he opened his mismatched colored eyes and grinned. He could do that, if that was what she wanted. Of course that's how it always was... the misguided woman begging for his time, only to break so soon after he'd granted them that honor. No one lasted too long in his hands... but if she was truly as special as she claimed, then it'd be interesting to see just what might happen from their interactions.

She wasn't afraid. Her mechanical mind set up several walls against the chemical onslaught, pushed it far back to the perimeter, and made way for the strength that lay in her circuits and conduits. Not an emotionless logic -- but a determination, a will toward the ends, a fierceness that was derived from desire, death and rebirth, all her experiences drawn to a head.
This was what drove her forward, after the bat, with a tilt to her hip and a cool look on her face. It would be a new experience, more data, and more knowledge of what this strange creature was like. If he was worth anything, she could make use of him someday. If not, well, she would let him go about his arrogant ways.
After all, there was only room for one power-starved entity in her world, and that was herself.
She stopped at the door and gave it three quick knocks.

With a slight pout of her lips, the girl's hand reluctantly slid from around him, and down his arm as she retreated to let SHODAN in. She was a sweet thing, and one of his regular companion's when he chose to visit. It was just a pity that she was just a lowly human, but at least she knew her place. Giving SHODAN a slight smile, she stood back to allow her to enter.
The corner of Rido's mouth curved up and he reached out towards the bat that flapped noiselessly into the room to dissolve back into his body. "Welcome~, SHODAN. I hope that this is... to your liking."

"I prefer not to share." SHODAN didn't look at her directly, but focused on the seated man and kept the stranger in peripheral vision. As she strode through the door, she echoed his faint smile and narrowed her eyes not in anger, but in bold curiosity. Pausing a few feet before him, she shrugged one shoulder, her hair falling back and silver steel peeking through. "This is quite well, here. And what would have you planned, since you seem to have an agenda?"

But her show of possessive jealousy was pleasing, and so he reached out his hand in gentlemanly fashion to place a kiss upon the back of her hand. "Agenda? No...
not at the moment. You wanted my company, so here I am. Now, the question is... what are your intentions~?"no subject
"My agenda?" She flashed her teeth in a quick, sharp smile. "First, you said that if I came to see you, you would tell me what you are."
(ooc: sorry I suck at replying quickly, I'll make sure to do this more.)

His voice held no arrogance, but merely a detached sense of boredom at having to explain what should have been instinctually felt.
“A Pureblood.” Leaning back, he took his free hand and casually rested his chin in it. “What's second on that list of yours~?”

Keeping her gaze, he tried to make things as simple as he could. "... my kind are vampires... top of the food chain in my world, and above even them are the Purebloods."
no subject
"Vampires, then?" She tilted her head and peered at his face. Extending a hand -- making sure the gloves were off, for now -- she brought a finger under his chin and tilted his head up to glance for his fangs. "Then is she here for that purpose?"

Drawing his captive hand back towards him, he encouraged her to come closer. “Come sit next to me. It'll be more comfortable...”

that's left in this place. I see no reason not to take advantage of it."no subject

He didn't wait to see her leave, not when his date was waiting for his answer.
"Why would I look for meals to be able to match wits with me?" He smirked at the thought. "I prefer not to starve..."

"Oh~?" He smiled slightly, moving one hand to brush his fingertips along her shoulder. "What exactly are you proposing?"
