Log OPEN Ongoing

When; June 24th Midsummer Night
Rating; Let's go with R to be safe
Characters; Anyone. Everyone
Summary; Tony is having a Midsummer Night Party at his house
Log;

True to his word, Tony has everything ready. His house has been turned into party central. There's a stage and a DJ stand in his living room. The rest of the room has been turned into a dance floor. JARVIS has locked rooms that people should not be in such as his bedroom and his workshop. Other then that, the house is open to everyone. Music has been piped down to the beach and there is a roaring bonfire there.

Staff dressed in costumes befitting Shakespeare's play mill about with food. Down on the beach there are hot dogs to be roasted as well as marshmallows. There's staff down there as well.

There is of course an open bar both on the beach and in the house.

Tony is dressed a bit like this as Miss Rushman veto'd dressing up as Iron Man. He can't think of a better costume than the boy who never grew up. Yes he has on tights. No he doesn't care.

[ooc: The house looks a bit like the one in the movie. Lots of glass, lots of space. Right on the beach]

Hardison's jamming out, dressed up as the best Ghostbuster ever (http://i49.tinypic.com/1zfjyww.jpg). Come request a song or be cool and bring a guy a drink why don't you? Maybe he'll let you scratch or take a look at his setup (http://i48.tinypic.com/10z5sg8.jpg)!

And yes, he is splicing television and video game theme songs into the mixes, you are not hallucinating.

Romana really wasn't certain she'd understood the concept of wearing a costume. She supposed it was similar to Halloween, although the mixture of religion and superstition still left her with many questions. Still she hoped the dress (http://www.fashion-era.com/images/2006_7_trends_fall/partydresses/zhang%20memoirs%20of%20a%20geisha.jpg) she'd found was suitable. She really wanted something tasteful, and not too... outrageous.

It was one thing to have the City dress you in strange things, it was quite another to find something yourself.

She tucked a wayward curl back behind her ear, the rest spilling loosely down her back and started to wander around, still wondering why she'd even come.

He mumbles a thanks and takes a sip before answering. "Oh, of course, brah! I get to break in my new setup and y'all are bringing me drinks. Good night, really good night."

So an Irish Guy walks into a party... [Open]

Keats was never one to avoid free beer. Parties were interesting and he loved costumed ones. A few of the staff gave him a bit of a start due to looking like a particular invisible man who was supposed to kill him (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080114215152/folkloregame/images/thumb/a/a2/Characters_Belgae_concept.jpg/180px-Characters_Belgae_concept.jpg), but all was well. The people watching was excellent particularly because it was a costumed event.

Keats ended up with a top hat (http://www.psu.com/media/articles/keats.jpg) mostly because it was the only other outfit he had that was costumey. The red coat made him look like a certain vampire from comics.

Beer in hand, the Irishman began to walk about the crowd. Stark could throw a party, that much was sure.

She almost flinches when he leans in, but relaxes again quickly, returning his smile.

"Thank you, You look well yourself. This seems like a lovely event."

And he's met by an uptight possibly-Russian? [Still Open!]

Natasha's been circling (dressed as one famous redheaded bombshell (http://i50.tinypic.com/148zwhl.jpg)) and making sure things are in order, unable to really enjoy herself. She takes a moment to grab a girly drink and stand off to the side, when she notices Keats, who she hadn't greeted yet.

She nods and smiles, holding a purple-gloved hand out. "Natalie Rushman, Mr. Stark's assistant. Enjoying yourself?"

"To be honest, I wasn't certain what to expect."

And the costumes were... colorful to be certain.

Her shoes are left on the patio, and Natasha makes her way down the path to the sand. They'd set out umbrellas and smalls tables to sit at and the bonfire was raging away, though well-controlled. She stands in front of it, warming up from the cool breeze coming off of the water.

She hears him walking toward her awhile before he arrives and she doesn't turn to answer him.

"Of course, Mr. Stark." Her smile is the assistant's smile. He wants to hear a yes, and a yes is what he hears.

"Well, you know how I do." He grins and steps back to give a little room for Tony to fit up with him. "So, Boss, you got any requests?"

"Tame?" She considered for a moment, curious as to whether or not she really wanted to know. "What would you consider out of control?"

[identity profile] ageoftheg33k.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
He totally sees that restraint, Tony. Hardison is very proud, enough to grin and queue up a few songs and flick a few levers.

"Hell yeah, and I'mma be good and step back off of the Sabbath even!" The music that starts to play over the speakers is fairly close to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83lzBIJok98), to which Hardison is seriously jamming out.
