[Considering they lived in the same apartment, once Raikov got home from work, he changed into some casual clothes and popped his head into Dist's room.]

I'm home. You need some time to get ready?

[Dist had been sitting at his desk and waiting, idly poking at one of his projects, though he wasn't going to admit that.

At the sound of his roommate's voice, then, he stood up and brushed his shoulders -- as if he hadn't already changed and made sure he looked good, not that he had so much reason to bother now.]

No, I suppose we can go ahead and go now.

[he gives a frustrated sigh and bats the poking finger away.]

[And Raikov dragged Dist to one of the City's bars. The Blue Light, actually, since he had been there previous and rather liked the place. They were seated at a small secluded table, a little bit away from all the noise and mingling, then the waiter handed them some menus. Raikov already knew what he wanted. Insulting as the name was, it was a good drink]

A white Russian, please.

[Dist doesn't really even know the names of any drinks here -- and hell if he's drinking straight liquor, maybe Jade likes it, but he prefers taste to dulling his senses. He searches for a drink menu, but can't find anything -- apparently you're just supposed to know.]

[What a surprise. Raikov glanced over the mixed drinks section... then decided to cheat and look over the limited network for what the drinks contained.]

Hn.. Lava Flow sounds good. Light Rum, Malibu rum, Pineapple juice, Coconut cream, mixed with strawberries and bananas...

[He also doesn't like pineapple and doesn't know if he's ever even tasted rum -- he'd always just ordered whatever Jade had -- but the name is the dealbreaker.]

[What a fruit. The waiter, who had wandered off for a bit, finally returned and took down Dist's order. A few minutes later, he returned with their drinks. Raikov took his and held it up]

[He watches with a raised eyebrow as he takes another drink -- not such a small sip as before now that he knows what it tastes like.]

[He very much doubts that, but whatever, tonight's for moving on anyway, so he'll be a little adventurous.]

I suppose so.

[He takes the glass, hesitating as he looks at it-- normally he'd be sure to drink from a part of the glass that no one else's lips had touched, but-- adventurous.

And so he takes a drink, leaving purple lipstick on the glass when it's set back down. He cringes a little at the taste of the vodka -- he can sure taste it -- but the other flavors, the creaminess, they're all nice enough.]
