When; July 14th, after this
Rating; Uhh, maybe PG-13 for language? IDEK.
Characters; [Bad username or site: srsbusinessk title= @ livejournal.com], [Bad username or site: dude_imbatman title= @ livejournal.com], and later [Bad username or site: backseatangel title= @ livejournal.com], [Bad username or site: rehymenator title= @ livejournal.com], [Bad username or site: gotanotherplan title= @ livejournal.com]
Summary; Gravediggers Plot! Dean was digging in Jess' grave to prove to Sammy that he didn't get her killed again, when the grave decided to swallow him whole instead. Cue one extremely freaked out little brother, running to his friends for help as Dean tries to escape.
Log; Seeing Jess over the 4th-wall weekend seemed like a blessing, and Sam hadn't been happier in longer than he could really remember. But of course, everything always comes with a price, and Sam dwells on this fact as he waits in the Impala for Dean to finish digging up Jessica's grave. He doesn't know what to hope for, what to expect. Whether he'd prefer for it to be empty as proof that she wasn't killed, or for it to hold her body as proof that she was ever there at all. Regardless, they'll find out soon enough. Sam would help Dean dig, but he can't handle it right now. Besides, it won't take Dean that long to find the coffin, even on his own. No big deal, right?
Except that Dean doesn't come back to report his findings. Sam waits in the car for what feels like years but really amounts to an hour and a half before he realizes something is wrong. It shouldn't be taking him this long. He gets out of the Impala and heads back over to the grave warily. "Dean? You okay down there?" he calls out as he comes up on the hole, only to find it...empty.
Eyes widen, all signals go into red alert, and Sam looks around the cemetery wildly. "Dean?" Nothing. Nowhere. He's nowhere. He's gone. "Dean!!"

"Sam! Sammy! I'm okay. Somehow I ended up underneath the cemetery."

But to his dismay, he soon realizes the device is on in his pocket. He pulls it out and does what comes naturally: berates the hell out of Dean.
"Okay? How the Hell is this okay?" He's yelling, but it's just because he doesn't want Dean fighting without him. They're supposed to be a team, goddammit. "How did you even get down there?"

Literally.
So Sam picks up the shovel and continues the digging in Jess', the device in his pocket and as loud as it can be so he can still hear Dean while he digs. And digs. And digs. And continues to find nothing.

"I'll figure a way out. Can't be that damn hard. It's all dirt. Good news is, there's no body."
At least not Jess'. There do happen to be a ton of zombies wandering around. Fantastic.

When Winchesters get desperate, they get crazy. And Sammy's going a little bit crazy. He can't protect Dean from up here, and for all they know, he could die down there. No way he's letting him die alone. So he's concentrating as hard as he can on Dean's location. He's never angel-bussed on purpose before, but desperate times call for desperate measures. And those measures seem to start with a really bad headache.

"Friggin' zombies. I'm serious, Dude. Go get help. I'll be hanging around here. With the zombies."

"What the hell, Sam?!" She's at his side in a second, trying to look him over. He... blipped. Only Castiel blips. Well, used to. "What happened, are you okay?"

"Sammy? You okay?"
Posting order Jo, Dean, Sam?
He shakily gets to his feet and grabs his device that skittered a few feet across the floor. Ooh, but maybe moving wasn't such a good idea just yet, and Sam stumbles to the couch before he lands his ass on the floor again. He sits there with a hand over his face, trying to calm down, when Dean's voice comes in through his device again.

She follows him back to the couch, but okay it's really hard to help steady someone who's about twice your size, though she's shushing and reaching for the device as soon as she hears something. "Dean? It's Jo, I'm with Sam. What's going on?"
/c-c-combo breaker? should i be here?
He walks toward the couch with a glass of water and, rather unceremoniously, splashes it in Sam's face. Whether it's simply to help him wakey wake or some kind of resentment at his sudden ability via crazy archangel passenger to fucking appear out of thin air, he'll never tell.
"Sam, get it together. Where's Dean?"
/sob I don't even know /replies just cause she can
It takes Sam a minute to find his bearings and respond. "Uh, he's," he closes his eyes and shakes his head, "He was digging, in Jessica's grave, and it. It pulled him in. Under the cemetery." More shaking of his head and he looks up at Cas and good God, if the desperate puppy eyes aren't on full blast. "I dug in that grave for nearly an hour, and a lot deeper than Dean did. And when that didn't work, I tried teleporting down there and got thrown back here."
He drops his dripping wet head into his hands, "Dean's trapped down there alone."
