A familiar mountain rising up out of a familiar beach has become a focal point for many people over the past week or so around sunrise on the 28th, and so it's no surprise that certain changes made to its layout might cause those same people to start asking questions, as much as friends and family members being carried off, so to speak, to dig something out of the rock has been. This time, however, things are little bit different.
The entire area has been transformed into a verifiable war zone, trenches leading up from the beach and barbed wire crisscrossing over sand and underbrush alike. Individuals taken over by slugs patrol from up high, armed with guns to stop anyone from getting beyond the line of defense, stopping more than enough attempts at both rescue and escape.
But not to worry! Just as these invading hordes have issued their own order against escape, your local deities have taken up their own call to arms once noon rolls around.
[ooc: Order 227 is here! This is an open log specifically for people who wish to participate in this whether in the City proper or down on the beach, as they attempt to either flee from slug captors or rescue friends who are being forced to dig. Although most of the fighting will be done down on the beach D-Day style, citizens who choose to remain in the City might find that their friends who want to go down to the dig site in order to fight some slugs might be a little more likely to turn into shooters in the face of rejection, because if you aren't part of the solution then you're part of the problem.". There is a Death Exemption for this curse, and for those who find this event a little too violent to deal with in terms of getting rid of slugs, there is a lighter, funnier ending coming on Thursday.
