the betrayal of the sunset [ongoing]
When; Sunday, September 13th
Rating; G'ish
Characters; Celty [
seekinghead] & Shizuo [
milkboned]
Summary; during a curse- pet shop visits.
Log;
There was something comforting about the sight of cityscape passing by in a blur, faster and faster on her motorbike- her horse, and simply losing herself in that simple freedom. She didn't know these streets as well as she knew Ikebukuro, but Celty was learning the City, learning how its pavement felt, which way was quickest, which roads were best at which times of day. Thankfully, her job wasn't one that was hard to carry out while handcuffed to Heiwajima Shizuo. At least, not so far.
She had a few steady employers now, and she was able to still do her deliveries with Shizuo behind her- documents for City Solutions, floral arrangements for Umi- it was comforting, too, to be able to do the same job. She wasn't in the same place, didn't have all the same people, but- she had some of what made up "home"... and she was grateful.
But the absence of the ticking... Shizuo's presence really did cancel it out. She didn't notice during deliveries or while out exploring the City, but. This was the first time she hadn't woken up to it, hadn't-
It was that thought that made her notice the pet shop they were driving past. A pet... wasn't that what someone had recommended? To help with the ticking?
It was that thought that had her slowing down, PDA coming out of her sleeve and relying on shadow to type, since her other hand was handcuffed to Shizuo before she finished the sentence and turned the message so he could see it over her shoulder.
mind if we make a quick stop?
