When; Monday morning
Rating; G
Characters; Xelloss [
thatpriest] & Isaak [
rozenmagician]
Summary; Isaak and Xelloss meet in the morning for wine and conversation. Because morning is the best time for wine.
Log;
Xelloss didn't sleep. Ever since he'd arrived in the city, he'd been spending his time doing what he liked to call "peoplewatching." Others might consider it "stalking." He was curious, and felt that he needed to find out what he could about this place and the people residing in it. He hadn't found much information on the city itself, yet. But within the past few days he had been here, he made an effort to keep tabs on certain citizens who caught his eye, especially where they lived.
So it was no surprise that the morning of their arranged meeting, the trickster priest was found right outside Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer's door.
It was only as the sun was rising that morning, while he was perched on the roof of Cafe Juliet, that Xelloss realized it. While they had decided on Monday as the date to meet, there was never a designated time nor place. So Xelloss figured that he might as well go straight to Isaak himself. He waited until it had been daylight for long enough, then jumped down and headed toward Building One.
Xelloss knew that Isaak lived in a fine room on the first floor of the first building. He headed down the hallway, tapping his staff on the floor in time to the ever-present ticking. The noise didn't bother him by a long shot, but he was pleased by the knowledge that he would be spared from hearing it for a little while, at least for the duration of their meeting. That kind of distraction wouldn't make for productive conversation at all.
He soon found himself outside the door he had been looking for. He paused a moment before knocking the end of his staff against the door.
"Good morning, Mr. von Kämpfer," he called cheerily through the door. "I do hope it's not too early."

And the sound, the never-ending ticking made him lost his nerve to summon his monsters in order to keep his company. They were tired from playing all night, making noises that surely had awoken his neighbors (the ones who had not been yet part of their menu).
If his bodyguard had come along, he would not have to do this humiliating job. But, unlike Dietrich, Kämpfer had too much class to protest about simple chores.
Engrossed in his task and smoking furiously his cigar, Isaak did not sense anyone nearby until his monsters alerted him. He inclined his head, reluctant to leave his job, he was meticulous when he started. However, it would be impolite to keep a guest (or intruder) waiting. Thus he hushed his creatures, changed his gloves to a clean pair and arranged his black uniform slightly before attending the door. His kohoruto followed Isaak, peering curiously around their Master’s angles. They did not have eyes to see but the beings faithfully displayed their sharps teeth in case of a threat against the Magician.
Who could be at this hour? Neither Cain or Dietrich were morning birds.
“Ah, Xelloss! Welcome to my humble home,” Isaak exclaimed, curving his lips into a smile after recognizing the priest. “I must confess, I wasn’t expecting you so early. Allow me a second to dismiss my pets.” He closed the door lightly and sent the monsters to their respective dimensions before allowing Xelloss in. “Come in, please. The decoration is not my personal style but it appears to be the more accessible in the city.”
He loved the arcane not the bizarre post-modern collection of furniture and tapestries he was able to find within this realm.
[[OOC: Repost because my first log was rushed due to multitasking with the other one. Now is better. I was feeling guilty because I was hasty. Hmm special city wine. Should have bubbles? *giggles*]].
