Summary; Sollux needs a bit of a feelings jam, and for once he's actually going to Karkat instead of being browbeaten into consulting his moirail.

Sollux waited until all the curses were done before wandering the hive looking - okay, sniffing - for his moirail.

Karkat was human for the whole length of the curse, just as Eridan had been, and he didn't want to make the same mistake he had almost made with Eridan, and assume that all of his emotions were normal while he was pink and squishy.

Because this was going to be a troll feelings jam, and he needed Karkat to pity him properly and not wind up reacting weirdly. He just didn't want things to get messed up.

For once, Karkat was the one that went through a slight manic phase. During the weekend, he had been human and felt so weak. That meant that he didn't bother sleeping. Then, no sooner had he been given his glorious troll body back, than he just... Well he forgot. Sleep was something that Karkat easily overlooked. Those six hundred hours playing Sgrub? Yeah, he didn't really sleep during that phase of his life.

Luckily for him, the couch was the perfect spot for a sleeping Vantas. Obviously at some point he just popped in a DVD. From the way that the options screen was playing, an endless loop, he had been out of it for a while.

Sollux grinned when he realized what was going on and tottered over to his moirail. He switched off the television, then sat down against the couch, near Karkat's head, and leaned back until his head rested against Karkat's shoulder.

He could wait. He didn't need to violently wake Karkat up.

Like every amazing male in front of the television, awareness started to seep in the moment the screen went black. Karkat didn't open his eyes as Sollux eased his way into the couch, but his brow did twitch.

"I was watching that."

"With your eyes clothed and your windtube making thounds like kn's chainthaw," Sollux said with amusement. "I'm sure you were paying so much attention you could tell me what part the movie was at when I shut it off."

"Fuck off," Karkat huffed. "It's not that bad."

Slowly, he started to sit upright. If he were to be honest, which he never was, the Cancer certainly could use a few more hours of blissful unconsciousness. "What do you want?"

Sollux scooted himself up and onto the sofa next to Karkat. "It's not really a rush, but I sort of need to talk to my moirail for a bit. And altho I need to athk you some stuff."

He smiled uncertainly. "Unless you need a longer nap, firtht."

All the while Karkat hunched forward, rolling his shoulders. He was working out the kinks from his shit posture and general stress that came from living. Karkat rolled his eyes at Sollux and would have normally got all up in arms about how easily Captor can say what they are. Fortunately, he was still tired enough that he let it pass without getting indignant.

It also meant that this conversation was important. Since Sollux actually bothered to come to him instead of having Karkat pull out more teeth, the Cancer decided that he'd better take this opportunity while he could.

"I'm fucking fine. What's up?"

Sollux chewed his lower lip a bit, considering how best to approach this.

Well, nothing for it but to just take the plunge.

"Okay, so yethterday I went to see ed."

Predictably, Karkat's head immediately went for his hands. He groaned. Why would Sollux even think that this is a good idea?

"You've got three fucking seconds to explain what the hell you were on to make you do something so remarkably stupid..."

Yeah, that was pretty much the reaction Sollux was expecting - though possibly he expected more yelling.

"I had eg's godtier powers and ed was a squishy human," he said reasonably. "I wanted to know if he really did intend to kill me if he saw me again, and I wanted to find out when I wathn't completely fucking helpless to thtop him if he tried."

"Okay, so you weren't completely shithive. Congratulations," Karkat hissed out.

He took a moment to consider that. Well, at least Sollux wouldn't have died died. No way would that have been heroic or just. He still thought it was a little odd for Captor to care about something like that. Who even really wanted to see Ampora again if it could be avoided? Not Karkat, that was for sure.

However, all of this was not really moirail discussion worthy. So Sollux went to see Ampora... "So why does this need a discussion?"

It had had less to do with Sollux wanting to see Eridan, and more to do with not wanting to encounter him in a dark alley some night, unprepared.

"Uh, well I beat him up a bit," Sollux said, yellowing a little. "And he pithhed me off, and I wound up sort of agreeing to conthider a kithmethitude with him, if he satithfies a couple of conditions."

What was he hearing. "You're actually considering it!?"

"Yeah," Sollux said quietly, sitting back against the sofa and rubbing the bridge of his nose between his fingers. "I told him I'd conthider it. And then I said he would have to make a deal with the deities and get my powers back, and he went and fucking did it, like, firtht thing this morning."

He bit his lip. "I was sort of thinking... the way we've all been treating him, and how fucked up he is, he'll probably go shithive again. But maybe if he's got a quadrant filled, it'll make him more thtable."

"No," Karkat said. It was really that simple. This was wrong and messed up. He wouldn't be all right with this.

"And let me explain to you why you're being a bigger douchebag by doing this. This is a fucking act of pity and you're trying to considering something blacker? What the hell, Captor. You're not that stupid. You know this shit can't be one-sided and what the fuck do you think will happen when he finds that out? This is a bad idea and whereas I might deal with you and Strider being buddy-buddy, I will not fucking ever be all right with you doing dumb shit. He deserves what he's getting. It would have fucking been one thing if it was just you and Feferi, but he attack Kanaya, who hadn't done shit! He blew up the fucking Matriorb and doomed our race! Tell me how he's not fucking deserving of this isolation shit we're giving him?"

Sollux blinked and punched Karkat lightly on the shoulder. "This ith NOT an act of pity! He detherves every bit of shit we heap on him, and I hate him more than anyone elthe in the entire fucking world. He blinded me, and killed ff, and I want to be the one to make his life ath mitherable as pothhible!"

He gritted his teeth. "I didn't thay he didn't detherve what we're doing, only that it'll probably wind up with him going crathy again. I jutht don't want him to kill you next time. Or tz, or ck, or any of us, or anyone else in the goddamned City for that matter. But that's jutht one reathon I'm conthidering it. I hate him, kk. I really, really hate him."

"You hated him before now too!" he hissed back. "And if you're doing it even partially for the reason of him not killing anyone, that is definitely a fucking form of pity. Maybe not for him, but shit, definitely for the rest of us. Not to mention, you should probably listen in on other fucking conversations. He's dead set in trying to make amends, fuckass. Like killing us would win us over!"

"I've been lithtening," Sollux said. "I know he's trying to say he's guilty and to make it up to you all. He probably even believes it, but it doethn't mean I don't want to make him suffer. And it doethn't mean he won't do it again, kk. He's a highblood. When they flip out, shit jutht happens."

This was exactly why he needed to talk to Karkat, to hear exactly this. But it was hard, too. Fighting Eridan was always thrilling.

"Are you sure you're not jutht telling me not to do this because you're worried about me getting hurt?" he asked softly.

"And you think giving him what he wants is going to make him suffer, Captor?" Karkat huffed, wrapping his arms around himself. God this was so stupid. Twisted logic was going down here and why was he always the voice of fucking reason for this group of trolls who just wanted to fuck themselves over at every step of the way.

"I'm telling you because I am your moirail and hellbent on telling you when you're being a fucking moron and not thinking clearly! I'm suppose to watch out for you because I pity you enough that I don't want to see you do stupid shit in the heat of the moment. Yeah, you hate him. I hate him too. Big fucking deal. If you go through with this, he's going to fucking enjoy it. He's going to get off on it. How is that fucking punishment? Goddamn it, Captor, think with your head and not your goddamn bulge!"

"I know," Sollux blushed. It was all twisted up. But wasn't that sort of how blackrom worked, anyway? It all seemed so logical when you just explained it, or listened to Karkat's explanation. But how did you know when it was the right kind of hate? "But I'll enjoy it, too."

Okay, he was thinking with his bulge. He was a thirteen-year-old boy, what did you expect?

He wrapped his arms around Karkat and rested his forehead against his shoulder.

"So I'm being a moron, I guess. Fuck. This might be really bad."

He sighed and put one hand on Sollux's back. Pat pat. Pat pat. Stupid blind trolls and their need to touch...

"He can fucking deal wwith it."

Sollux nodded, frowning faintly. "I'm not telling him one way or another until I get my powerth back. It's the leatht he can fucking do for me."

"I still say that's your own damn fault, but whatever," he shrugged. Karkat actually kind of did want those powers to come back.

"Yeah, I know it's my fault," Sollux said, shrugging faintly. "But he thtill did it. I figure if he wants me that bad that he's willing to give up his blood or something, I might as well let him do it."

He hesitated. "He is going to be really pithhed if I turn him down now. He already thaid he would be. Not that I'm thcared or anything, but it's not like he'll jutht go mope or something."

"Technically," Karkat offered. "You said you would consider it. That doesn't mean you'd answer positively."
