[ It was a small relief that this curse hit in September and not July, when Tyr probably couldn't get away with wearing a hooded cloak and carrying a bottle of shampoo around without everyone guessing he had some bizarre hair colour. Not that his now-bubble-gum-pink hair was totally hidden anyway; it still hung in his eyes as it usually did, and the fact it was growing out in general meant it could almost be seen from behind his neck despite (or maybe because of) how dark his hood was.

But that wasn't going to be an issue soon, he hoped. Arriving at the beach house, he let himself in as usual, shutting the door behind him but keeping himself covered as he began looking around. Rita should still be in the kitchen, and Estelle... He wasn't sure where she'd be. The kitchen seemed like the best place to start, though! ]

[Seeing Estelle that morning had been a bit of a shock--Rita almost thought there was someone else in the bed ~~and she didn't want to go through that curse again~~, but once she realized who it was...It was sort of weird. But at least Estelle was still herself and a curse that changed hair colour was no big deal. Plus, she had a pretty good idea of just what Tyr might look like when he showed up.

For now, she sure was in the kitchen! Just finishing up, she threw the frying pan into the sink with a clatter, and set a plate with a haphazard pile of pancakes on the table. Or sort-of pancakes...Some had ended up as pancake pieces in her impatience, but just one was burnt. It was totally passable.]

[Estelle was rather surprised by the curse herself, yet she couldn’t help but be a little giddy that she was told she resembled Rita and that they could be sisters. Even if that thought was a little silly, it was still something that made her happy considering she doesn’t have any siblings. Also, she really did think of Rita in a sisterly like fashion, so perhaps being mistaken for family in a physical sense would make other people see that their relationship is like such.

Going into the kitchen with her bottle of shampoo in hand, she saw Rita throwing the frying pan into the sink then looked at the table in delight. Pancakes! Oh, those look delicious! Even the burnt one!]

Did you make breakfast for Tyr?

[She pretty much already knew that answer, but she still wished to ask.]

[ Hearing the frying pan crash into the sink and Estelle's voice coming from the same room, he actually smiled. He wouldn't need to look for either of them.

Still, he walked quietly and stood in the frame of the door instead of simply announcing himself. The smell of the pancakes made him hungry (even if he could tell something burned), but more than that, he was focused on how the two of them looked. It was pretty amazing what a change in hair colour could do for them. Even though he could still easily tell them apart, they did look like they could be each other's younger and older sister...

And that surprise was part of the reason he remained silent. The other was that he simply didn't want to interrupt them yet. ]

[She looked up at Estelle's voice--the hair was still a little odd, but she'd gotten over it--and sort of tried to deny that it was just for Tyr.]

It's not really...It's for all of us.

[There was probably enough, anyway...Though when she was about to encourage Estelle to come over, she spotted Tyr in the doorway-]

Hey, how long have you- [--With pink hair. And she immediately smirks, because it looks so silly on him.]

[Looking back at the pile of pancakes on the table, she could see that there was enough there for all of them. Oh, then they could all sit around the table and have breakfast together! That sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

When she saw Rita looking towards the doorway, she looked herself and saw Tyr with pink hair as he had said. Yes, it was a little silly seeing him like that, but she simply smiled at him and held back any giggles that may have attempted to arise. Instead, she walked up towards him and held out the bottle of shampoo she had brought with her.]

This is what you wanted to get, right?

[After saying that, she moved a little bit out of the way to invite him inside. As much as Rita wanted to deny it, she knew the reason that kind of breakfast was made was because she knew Tyr was going to come and visit.]

[ He definitely didn't miss those smiles even if they weren't outright laughing at him. They didn't need to say he looked ridiculous for him to know that he did; his roommates let him know pretty clearly before he left. Face reddening a little, he almost defiantly pulled down his hood before taking the bottle from Estelle. Not even wearing his bandana today. ]

Yeah... Thanks. [ He held out his own bottle of shampoo to her. ] And you, too, right? Though your hair doesn't really look that bad...

[ And he would go on into the the kitchen. Breakfast! He hadn't just asked Rita if she'd make breakfast for no reason. ]

[And watching Tyr's reaction, she really did snicker. Estelle could take care of being polite, anyway.]

You almost look like that cat, Tyr.

[Which gave her an idea, actually, and she waved at the table--where there was just the pancakes and nothing to go with them.]

You two start eating, and I'll be right back.

[That said, she started for the hallway to go retrieve something.]

[Yes, Estelle would remain unfailingly polite no matter how much she wanted to giggle along with Rita. Instead she went to grab the bottle of shampoo from him, then turned to go to the table when she was motioned to come. She didn’t know what Rita meant by ‘that cat’ so she turned to Tyr and questioned it.]

‘That cat?’

[She truly wanted to know this story behind it, especially with Rita’s reaction. Though looking back at the table she noticed there were just the pancakes sitting and nothing more. Deciding to be the polite most, she moved to get three plates and three sets of silverware, some butter and syrup to go along with it and set that all on the table.

There, it would be all ready for when Rita decided to enter the room once more.]

[ He went ahead and sat down while Estelle took care of setting the table. She'd know where everything was more than he would himself.

Having to explain what Rita meant by "that cat", though, after she actually laughed about it... Tyr rested his head on his hand and looked over at Estelle as he explained. There was really no amusement in his voice though he wasn't really mad. ]

She means the doll I gave her for her birthday... It's pink. [ Get it? Tyr hopes he doesn't need to explain more. ]

This one, Estelle.

[That was how Rita announced herself as she returned to the kitchen quickly, setting a pink plush cat with a yellow ribbon down on the table. Her other hand was behind her back, and she turned to Tyr with a grin.]

Hold still for a second.

Oh, you got her a pink cat doll for her birthday?

[If anything, she found that sweet and gave him a smile to signify that. Judging by what little she knew of Tyr and seeing how Rita reacted around him (and the fact she made breakfast because he was coming over), she believed that she could safely assume they had a good relationship with each other.

Then watching as Rita returned to the room, she saw the pink cat that was spoken of for herself as the mage placed it on the table.]

Oh, that’s so cute!

Yeah...

[ Tyr just...kept his mouth shut and kept still. He did have a good relationship with Rita - he considered her a best friend - but that didn't mean he wasn't a little anxious when she came with the plush in one hand and her other hand hidden behind her. He just watched Rita and let Estelle ogle the doll. Which he was still a little surprised that Rita liked so much... ]

[As much as Tyr and Rita bickered, Estelle was right on--they had a very good relationship, and he and Estelle were Rita's closest friends.

Estelle got a bit of an embarrassed smile, since the cat really was cute, even if Rita couldn't outright admit it, and then the mage moved to stand behind Tyr. The hand she'd been hiding held a light, thin, yellow scarf, which Rita moved to tie around Tyr's head.]

Now they'll really match.

[Estelle also moved to see what Rita may have been hiding behind her back, and brought a hand up to her mouth to giggle a bit as she watched the mage wrap a yellow scarf around Tyr’s neck. She was amused by what was going and was laughing at the situation - not at Tyr.]

They really do match!

[She then moved to sit down at the table, though she was still giggling just a little.]

[ Laughing at the situation and not at him didn't make Tyr feel any better. His face still flushed - from embarrassment and a bit of indignation - but he didn't bother taking off the scarf. Was it in a bow, too...?

He just stood there and folded his arms across his chest. The plate of pancakes was suddenly thrilling to watch sit there. ] So I match a doll and you two match each other...

[Yep, Rita sure was tying it into a nice big bow. Perfect. Finished, she moved around the table to take a look at Tyr and see how he matched the doll, and laughed along with Estelle...Though unlike her friend, Rita was laughing at him. Totally not a jerk.]

Yeah, now you're not alone.

[She looked to Estelle then, still feeling playful--it was a nice break from worrying--and grinned.]

Should I find some cat ears to put on him, too?

[Still hearing that she matched Rita only made her bright smile widen even more. It didn’t matter how many times she was told, she loved it so much! And then seeing Rita tie the scarf in the bow only completed the look.

When Rita shot Estelle a look, the normally pink haired good looked back, then nodded.]

You should! I think he would look really cute with cat ears on. Then they could really match!

[Really, Estelle wasn’t trying to make the situation worse. She honestly thought it would just be cute.]

[ Why are you two so mean... Still, he wasn't going to fight over this; he had to admit he looked ridiculous even without the bow and cat ears. And the two of them looked so happy (even if it was at his expense) that he was actually smiling a little for a second.

He wasn't just going to take being called "cute", though. ] This isn't cute. It's... [ Embarrassing. Humiliating. Sort of funny. Not cute. ]

[She'd been half-joking, but if Estelle was going to agree--well, then Tyr sure was getting cat ears.]

Yeah, he would. [Match, of course. ~~Maybe it'd be cute~~ She was off right away, returning soon with a bag she'd had stuffed somewhere, and pulled out a pair of pink cat ears. (There might have been more pairs in the bag, but it wasn't like they were all going to wear them.)]

Now he'll really be perfect.

But, you really do look cute… [To Estelle, calling someone cute isn’t an insult, but a compliment, and she wished he would see it as such. Though she did catch that smile. And seeing Rita go off and return with what seemed like a giant bag of cat ears only brought a childish smile of glee to her face.

Especially when she pulled out pink ones to match. Clasping her hands together in delight, she giggled.]

Yes, they really will!

[ Tyr is just thinking they're both talking about him being cute, and it's very tempting to just bat away the cat ears. Does she really have a collection of them?! ]

Stop calling me "cute"... [ And "perfect" for that matter.

He wasn't going to spoil their mood just because of that, though, so he holds out his hand. ] Let me see that bag.

[She almost wanted to tease him more, but Rita was not going to get caught calling anyone "cute" if she could help it. Estelle was saying it enough, anyway (and Rita was glad to see that she was having fun). But when he asked for the bag...]

Huh? You don't need to--just put these ones on!

[And she'd try to stuff the pair on his head while holding the bag away.]

[Well, if he wanted to stop being called ‘cute’, then Estelle would stop. It’s not fun (or nice) to call someone cute when they really don’t want to be called that. In a sense, she could understand since he was a male…okay, yeah, she would stop.

However, she was having fun watching Rita trying to put the pair of cat ears on Tyr. Holding her hands out, she offered to take the bag from the other girl.]

Here, give it to me!

[This was all like some kind of game of ‘keep away’ now!]

[ What. Were they really...? He went ahead and just shoved the pair of cat ears on his head (tilted a little forward, crooked) as he looked over at Estelle. ]

What are you going to do with it?

[Rita grinned like a maniac at seeing Tyr with the ears on--tilted or not. She was more than happy to pass the bag off to Estelle (even if it wasn't quite as fun with Tyr not going after it). Tyr's question ended up ignored as she handed over the little collection of ears.]

Okay, your turn.

[More than happy to play along, Estelle pulled out a pair of cat ears - a brown pair to match her current hair color and put them on. Of course she was more than happy to be wearing them as she turned to both Rita and Tyr with a giant smile on her face all while having her giggle fits.

This was honestly a lot of fun. Innocent fun. Things she never got to do while on her journey all too often and things she never got to do back in the castle considering she was to be a proper young lady at all times.]

Rita, are you going to wear a pair of cat ears as well?

[Said as she hands the collection of cat ears back to her.]

[ Even if it was annoying to be dressed up like a cat doll, he at least had the sense of humour to not be offended that Estelle was giggling. ...Though Rita's smiling seemed just a little more malicious...

It made him want payback. Fun, light-hearted payback, but still payback. ]

She should; that way we can all match. [ He makes a grab for the bag. ] I'll pick the pair.

[And at first Rita laughed along with her--until Estelle asked if she was going to put on a pair.]

Huh? I don't really-

[N-not that she disliked them or anything, but...Sputtering a bit, she gaped at the two of them.]

H-hey, don't go picking something weird!

I think we should all wear kitty ears!

[Now now, don't spoil the fun, Rita! She watched carefully as Tyr made a grab for the bag to pick out a pair as well. Just watching the two of them bicker at each other kept that wide, childish smile on her face.]

[ Now it was Tyr's turn to smile. It felt like Estelle was on his side now. ]

They're all yours; they can't be too weird to you.

[ Yeeees, now he could look in the bag and shuffle through them. He sort of wanted to give her something embarrassing to go with the fact she dressed him up to look like a doll. Spotting a pair with tiger stripes, he stood up from his place and went over to Rita. ]

Besides, it'll actually look more weird if we don't all wear them. [ Right? ]

B-but--Estelle-!

[She couldn't really...stop them, though, even as she sputtered with embarrassment. (Maybe because deep down, it was sort of fun. For Estelle, at least, and maybe just a little for herself...)

But tiger stripes? It was cute, and she did get them, but--oh, fine. She'd let him put them on...Just not without a bit of tsun.]

H-how would that not be weird?

[Oh, tiger stripes are so cute too! In a way, they seemed perfect for Rita and well, Estelle expressed her opinion very openly.]

Oh, Rita! You look so cute with those cat ears.

[It wasn't weird in the least, at least not to Estelle. Especially since both Tyr and her magically had different hair colors. And in a way, they all matched, right? Right?

So while Tyr and Rita may have been a little bit grumpy about this situation, Estelle was just innocently enjoying it. In fact, with them being a little grump made it all the more fun, in a strange sense.]

[ And Tyr thinks it's cute that it's Estelle that Rita protests too. Tyr actually chose the striped ones just to pick at her moody tendencies, but...they were nice on her, too ~~and totally didn't match the rest of them~~. Putting the ears on her head, he pulls back to look at her with a wide grin. ]

You know, Estellise is right. It's cute. Not weird at all.

[ And he definitely wasn't almost laughing as he says that. ]

I...J-just with the ears?

[Face red, arms crossed, she just sort of stood there for a second. This got turned around on her pretty quickly--even if it wasn't really bad, just...embarrassing, and she couldn't really decide how to deal with it.

Clearly, the best solution was just to move on!]

Let's just eat already, okay?

[Estelle honestly thought Rita should find it a blessing she didn’t end up with a different hair color, however now that she thought about it, Rita with tiger striped hair would also be adorable and fit her fiery personality she shows at times. However, Estelle knows when to hold her tongue. That was one of those times. Instead, she gave the other girl a smile when Tyr backed up her claim that she was cute.

But food was good as well.]

I already set the table, so I agree with Rita. We should eat!

[Hopefully the pancakes didn’t go cold because they were all having their fun.]

[ If Estelle wasn't going to tease Rita anymore, neither would he. Besides, telling her she was cute again...that was too much after everything they went through before.

That, and Tyr was still hungry. Breakfast was his idea, after all. He dropped the bag beside the table and went back to where he was sitting before. ]

Yeah, sit down. It'll get cold if we keep waiting.
