Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

[Her eyes are so huge that it's hard to notice anything else about her face - other than her huge awed smile - as the birds line up to eat from her hand. She dared one quick glance over at Jast.]

Look! [It was barely a whisper.]

They're eating from my hands!

[He turns the device around in his hands several times, looking at it curiously, but he spots the button. He had pretty much just been poking at it until something happened, up until now.]

Hm.

[He smiles, glad that she's willing to be patient with him while he figures this nonsense out.]

[He gives a little giggle, leaning close to watch over her shoulder. He whispers in kind,]

T-they can be... polite, yes?

There's a camera here, see? It records your image so people can see it. There's a microphone built in, too, so people can hear you.

Anyway--he gives a sort of tug to the brim of his hat in salute to her. That's as much of a "you're welcome" as you're likely to get.]

Oh Hell no. It's impossible. We don't even really have laws here. No one can agree on what should be allowed and what shouldn't. I took the position and told people not to be dicks. We just try to keep people from hurting others.

[Elijah wasn't expecting the accent, and for a moment it shows; if anything, though, the familiarity of it only makes him inclined to be friendlier than he would be otherwise.]
