Something's really off here--it's not like he's totally wiped it from his memory, because he remembers the curse happened, but it's more as though he forgot what happened to himself. And while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, Rita doesn't really think about that. She only focuses on the fact that he isn't remembering properly, which brings a whole bunch of other worries.
