He nods readily. "I'm fine," he says after a breath, and despite himself reaches up to rub his face with his hand. There's a disconnect between knowing he should try to look stronger and knowing he doesn't have to with Rita. Usually doesn't have to. He's pretty sure this is one of those times he should be strong for her.
