She nods gravely, that familiar disillusion setting into her at learning that things didn't get better. It's what she'd been counting on, really, that a new decade and a Republican in the White House might improve the state of the country.

"It's an attitude that I find quite insulting, really, this idea that the government knows best, and are far more qualified to spend our money than we are. Entrusting so much power to them is dangerous."
