The City doesn't give much, but he's more grateful for Meyer's presence than he'll ever say. Sure it's not a friendship in the textbook definition, but it's a link to home and that's reassuring-- a healthy one. No strings attached, no expectations considering they're both isolated parties...plus, turns out, the guy has a sense of humor. It's been alright getting to realize there's some life left in New York.

"You can get the home tour another time. Since it's a blue moon and you're taking the day off, might as well make the most of it."

Really, he might just end up calling or dropping by the casino just to make sure things are really on lock-down like Meyer says. It's something to keep in mind for later in the night.
